Ever wanted the secret to life? Ever wanted the secret to life? Well, we can’t promise you that, but we can bring you something close.
That’s right, STRESS MANAGEMENT AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT by Chinedu Nwachukwu has the answers.

But before we delve further into the book, let’s understand a bit more about the author. Nwachukwu Chinedu was born in the countryside known as Akpodim, in Ezinhitte Mbaise LGA of Imo State, Nigeria. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration. He is an expert in Occupational Health and Safety, and Facility Management; and a member of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON); also, the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Huston, USA, and Energy Institute (EI), among others.

His new release self-help write-up is just what you need with no set boundaries for specific individuals; it is meant for all. It does not matter if you have issues with your mental health or have been admitted with a particular case that has affected your mental health. Simply put, stress has no prejudice, it can catch up on anyone.
We all know how stressful situations can be at times, you might even be reading this book, and in a flash, something pops up in your mind which drains your energy. Stress is said to rub us off our present happiness and fills us with worry which eventually limits our abilities.
That being said, reading Stress Management and Personal development by Chinedu Nwachukwu would help in such issues, giving you the causative factors of stress, related examples of stress, and its effect from the past and the present in various societies, and the various effective ways to managing stress.

The book is therefore divided into two sections:
Section A of this book begins with introducing stress and the effects on you and the society and introduction to personal development. It gives an all-around analysis of the information you will expect from the book relating to stress, its causative factors and its effects. Not forgetting personal development and all the actions needed to increase your confidence and self-worth.
Then we move over to part one of the book, which bluntly introduces the reader to the explanations of stress. The author had duly broken down all of the necessary details a layman has to know when it concerns this societal issue — stress.
Part two of the book deals with a summary of stress and its effects; in summary, how stress affects us in various ways, both physically and emotionally, and with many varied intensities.

It briefly but rightly breaks down all of the causative factors of stress in terms of physical, mental, and emotional maintenance.
Part three deals with the brief definition of stress, which is not redundant. The author had broken down complex topics and technicalities when it relates to certain medicalparastatal in the world, making it pretty simple to the understanding of a ten-year-old.
Part four deals with the holistic view of stress and hazards, this section deals with the evidence relating to work hazards and how they can be reduced. It also explains work hazards divided into physical and psychological risks, including radiological, biomechanical, chemical, and radiological threats.

Part five, which is the state of organizational structure and operation. Employees and some employers alike have been found out to be more affected by stress. The writer had made his due research by researching the area on team member’s perceptions and descriptions of their companies or organizations, which suggest that these revolve around three apparent parts of organizational function and culture, and that’s the company as some task environment, problem-solving environment, and development environment.
And finally, part six discusses career development. The writer explains how the lack of expected career development may also be a source of stress, specifically in companies that emphasize the relationship between competence or worth and career development — not forgetting to state the solutions to this issue to make for a healthy workplace.

Section B deals with personal development and overall improvement, which gives you information on the aspect of belief, and how much it affects our lives. Belief is an influential factor that rules every part of our lives. If you change your beliefs or discard certain beliefs that do not work for you, your life will have a significant turnaround.

This section also spells out the various ways you can change; they are somewhat limitless. Still, the author set down a few essential instructions for knowledge acquisition to transform yourself and change your world.

Chapter Three of Section B talks about self-acceptance and the key to fulfillment. When you do recognize your true worth, that is another critical factor in building your self-confidence. Moreover, this is also a demonstrated fact of life; that is to say, you can never be better than your self-worth or esteem. How you feel about yourself or those around you is based on your level of acceptance — there are no two ways about this.
Chapter four of Section B talks about being present and conscious. For most of us, all of the low self-confidence we do have is a problem of awareness or awareness of ourselves, which is the cause for most stress and anxiety. The author sets out precise but straightforward instructions on being more self-aware with what you want in life rather than what you do not wish to.

Chapter Five of the book deals with knowing and observing your motivation. No one can be motivated in any way. Everyone, one way or the other, is self-motivated. It is necessary to always keep this in mind. It also states that you tend to take responsibility for some personal need or desire determined by your present consciousness. More often than not, your primary motivation is to feel right with yourself, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.

Suppose your needs in any one of these areas are unfulfilled to you. In that case, they will in some sense create some level of frustration and nervousness. Hence, you will need to do whatever is deemed necessary to make yourself comfortable, including if the action you will take may appear to be harmful to you. In summary, this chapter tells you all of the facts you need to know and the various ways to motivate yourself.
Then we have the conclusion, which calls your attention to all of the things described and stated in the book — not forgetting the stated emphasis on positive thinking and how it helps every area of your life.
It is indeed a book to reckon with.
