What is an introvert?
The word ‘introvert’ has become quite popular
in today’s world, causing many to question its
meaning. However, the introvert definition
wasn’t coined from this present era. It was
formed by a scientist named ‘ Carl Jung ’ in

1920 to explicitly differentiate the two most
common personality types – introvert and
extrovert.
These personalities were categorized by how
people spent their time, and ultimately, how
they responded to social situations. Thus, the
meaning of introvert refers to the process of
folding inwardly, which is where the introvert
definition originates from, while the meaning
of extrovert is the exact opposite. Introverts
tend to withdraw from social situations and
spend more time in their inner worlds, while
extroverts seek external stimulation.

Many people tend to look at the introvert and
extrovert personalities in opposing ways,

complementary.
Don’t let anyone make you feel inferior for
having a beautiful nature like introversion.
Even so, try not to subdue your nature merely
to fit in. The more you suppress your
introverted personality, the harder it will be to
express your true identity in the long run.
Always remember that you’re a rare gem and
you should strive to express the beauty of your
introversion.
