We finally did it again. I feel that my hard work is paying off.......


We had customer from Nairaland contacted me for ac compressor for his 2010 rx350. The compressor went bad, instead of him to go the naija route and covert it to manual compressor. He gave me a call to help him look for 1.........

During my search we found out not all rx350 use the same compressor .. 2010 Rx350 compressor are compatible with the ones from 2011 and 2012. So we can't just mismatched parts anyhow. This is why I tell people follow owners manual. Don't covert something that is not meant to be converted.


The 2010 and up Rx350 compressor comes with a sensor .. So if u are now converting to manual will you now by pass the sensor?

Replacing your A/c compressor. When replacing your compressor. Please and please take it to a professional. I can't stress this enough...... The whole ac system will need a total flush.. This is to prevent dirt to clogged up the new compressor. And also compressor oil will be needed.........

Once the above procedures are done . it is time to add freon. Most of the freon in the market are the main cause of damage to compressor. Follow owners on type of freon to use . most time it is R 134a . using the correct freon will last a long time and you will enjoy your ac system during the very very hot weather. And best of all it might take another 1 year or more before u top ur freon ... As long as owner manual are been followed.............

Failure to follow above recommendations . Will result to a damage new compressor.......

Was in the same scenario last year, got automatic compressor for same vehiclevfrom Ladipo, it failed after few months, the AC technician advice we go the Naija way, we did it and immediately my vehicle started displaying climate error, i had to order for the right compressor from US and ever since i am enjoying my AC.

Nice bro .. But I hope that they vacuum and flush out the A/c system before replacing it with the Yankee 1 u ordered .... Failure to do that will clogged up and damage the new compressor or better will only work for few months or ..
Also I hope u use the recommended freon R 134a . Failure to do this will pack up ur system ......

Hello sir, I've been following your threads about AC on Nairaland. My car RX 350 (2011) is currently having this compressor issues. To my surprise, the technician I called to come have a look at it, suggested (not even suggested) he said, the manual will be the best one for me to get but knowing what you've advised beforehand, I just left him to be ranting. My question, to get this compressor, the gas and the recommended freon you said, is it possible all this required products can be ordered for me and what would be the cost. Thanks.
