The word mercy means forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm.

You cannot say, someone offended me, please help me to forgive him or her for me, it is totally out of place to say or do such. Showing mercy to others brings you to a place of settlement.

Just as money is used to bail someone from prison, mercy serves as a bailout from the dungeon of life. Each time you refuse to show mercy (forgive), you are indirectly harming yourself, because you become heavy hearted and vulnerable to every form of attacks.

Mercy is a bailout, please learn to always forgive
