Clay for making cooking pots is sourced from the earth. It is dug out of the ground and taken to a site where it can be processed. At sites such as this, people can find clay in different colors depending on how much iron it contains.

The clays are piled up so that they have room to breathe, otherwise they will become waterlogged [if too moist] and decompose [rot]. This method of stacking is known as "combing," and it helps ensure an even moisture content across all parts of the product being manufactured.
When the clay has reached a suitable humidity level, workers sprinkle it with water which makes handling easier. They then break down any lumps or foreign objects within it by running their hands through it. It is also ground down for increased surface area to speed up the water absorption process.

The clay mixture, known as "pug," must be worked for at least 1 hour in order to ensure that all the water has been absorbed. If it doesn't, bubbles can form during firing which will break through the glaze and ruin the pot. Worker’s hand-roll balls of pug about the size of a baseball which they then throw against a wall to form cylinders or flatten into disks before stacking them onto wooden racks to dry out for up to 5 days. During this time, there should be no signs of cracks appearing on any part of it.

After so long, workers sprinkle water across each layer's surface before stacking it again. They then continue the process of throwing, forming, and stacking several more times to ensure that it dries evenly. A total of up to 3 months is needed for the product to properly dry out before firing can begin.

Proper drying means that no part of the product will be harder or softer than any other, which would result in warping while being heated at high temperatures. However, some parts might still be too damp so they are stacked on top of each other again while workers wait for them to reach an appropriate humidity level.

At this point, clay pots are ready for use in cooking, but some people choose to fire them at very high temperatures just one more time after shaping them into their final forms because doing so makes the pots more durable. Clay pots are also glazed shortly before firing, and up to a year can pass between shaping and glazing depending on the product's size. Once it has been fired, the clay pot is complete.

Clay cooking pots hold heat better than other materials such as metal or glass, which is why they are especially popular in colder climates where food takes longer to cook using alternative methods. However, they can be quite heavy compared to alternatives such as cast iron or stainless steel, but some cultures have used them for centuries because of their ability to retain heat without breaking easily.

The main purpose of this article was to introduce people to how cooking pots made from clay are manufactured by means of descriptive text. It might not have told them how to make their own cooking pots, but it has given them some insight into the process.
I hope this article was educational and you enjoyed reading it!

If you're asking about how they should be cooked, then I'd say clay is healthier for long-cooking because it retains more heat. If you're asking if aluminum is safer for humans to eat off of, then I'd have to say yes. Aluminum's safety depends on how hot the pan gets while cooking, but generally it's better than pottery after 400 degrees Fahrenheit or so! Plus metal doesn't break into sharp shards while spilling soup all over your feet like pottery does.

Answer: No, but most are.

There are four types of dinnerware material categories today—porcelain, earthenware, stoneware and china. China was the term used in the US to describe an opaque white porcelain product manufactured by English potters from about 1770 until recent times that had a very strong resemblance to fine imported Chinese porcelains of the 17th century. Porcelain is technically any ceramic created from white clay containing kaolin minerals though it's not always technically perfect since there are different minerals in soil which create varying colors and textures in different common Chinese ceramics. Pottery is made using a hardbody composition with several materials such as an air drying clay body mixed with water
