Actually, I had the 3 months injection which is called Depo after my first baby. I was told I might not mensurate until I stopped the injection. It was for me exactly as I was told, and until I stopped taking the injection every 3 months ready for my second baby, I didn't have my menstrual period. So I think it should be her body reacting to it. Actually, if there should be any normal reaction, it shouldn't be this long. Visit a gyneocologist, perhaps a drug can be given to her to control it.

I am not a doctor but the bleeding is prolonged and she might become anaemic, make sure she is on blood tonic while you return her to the hospital. Insist that she sees a gynaecologist

She will be fine. I did same family planing last year August( DEPO-PROVERA) to be precise, bleed for over 3months when the injection was meant for 3momths.

Truth is, it will definitely stop but will take a little longer if not given a hormonal drug or injection to control it. Mine has stopped though it took me almost a year to get back my normal circle with drugs that i can’t mention here.

Please take her to a gynecologist and follow the advice of the gynecologist.

An older woman once narrated a terrible experience of irregular menstruation anytime she takes the injection. Despite the fact that I was so young then, I concluded that when I marries, my wife would never take that shit. The best form of planning family is withdrawal method, so economical and no side effect. No one should tell me about a sperm dripping in the pvssy mistakenly, and resulting to pregnancy because I have been doing this withdrawal method for 6years + now. That of my wife was a complete stoppage of menstrual flow after she did arm implantbut no cause for concern as four should be enough for her.

Dear poster I can't blame you. Nigeria matter go always different. I don't want to believe it's same story abroad. The number of complains I hear over family planning is alarming that you begin to wonder if it's a good idea. My wife just went to remove her own which was implanted in her arm. Please don't be patient. Look for a solution as fast as possible. Someone I know bled for 6 months and later on developed heart problem with kidney and liver complications. Don't take it lightly. I am talking from a case I know.

For now,she should be switched to implant..Implanon or Jadelle
However, if the bleeding is much,buy combination 3 At any pharmacy. let her take it for one month making sure she follows the arrow well.Hormonal tablet first, followed by 7days blood tablets..

You don't just opt for any of the family planning, she needs to know the one that goes with her body system after meeting with her personal doctor who knows her medical history.

Nothing like family planning. It suits my wife. Before we renew another 3yrs there was no issue but after renewal na irregular menstrual period she dey experience which I believe will be sorted out.
