Anambra Gubernatorial Election And The Igbo Presidency. by Urbanchampion: 8:05am On Nov 07, 2021
AS the clamour for the emergence of a Nigerian president of Southeast extraction in 2023 gathers momentum, with so many group and individuals calling for it, the Anambra State Gubernatorial election has provided a direction as to how pendulum should swing.
There are 21 LGAs in Anambra state. Anambra is undiubtedly tge the most popular and most populated and industrialized State in the old Eastern Region. The State represents what Kano is to the Northern Region, what Lagos is to the Yorubas and the Port Harcourt of the South South. All the three main political parties contested the election with all the candididates believing they all have a chance, no matter how slim of being the next Governor of the State, after Obiano. In the results announced so far, the APGA candidate, Prof Soludo, the former Head of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has cleared out all the seven LGAs that have been announced so far.
As results pour in, and a winner expected, it is should be normal that any party that wins in Anambra is the most accepted party in the South East. APGA is likely to win with a very wide margin and the Party that enjoy such popularity should produce an Igbo President in 2023 while less popular parties, such as the APC and PDP can look elsewhere for their presidential candidates.

The same Peter Obi that was two time governor of the state and was the most influential governor the state has ever produced? Or are you referring to another Obi....

Igbos want presidency but they don't want political party and you can not become the president without vibrant political party that can win presidential election. In conclusion "Igbos presidency is Virtual"
