A lot of Igbos dont let their kids speak Igbo at home. Even in lagos, there are so many Igbo children that cannot speak Igbo. This is one area that I respect the yorubas.

Igbo children in the S/west speak and learn igbo from their parents but they speak Yoruba with their friends/play mates on the street. The same is applicable to Yoruba, urhobo, Efik children living in the S/east.

Ethiopians are second on that list because the US let in tens of thousands of them as refugees, but Nigerians hustled in all kinds of ways to get to the US including as fee paying students, you must highlight that context and variables..

Dude I only gave two examples. There are several more.... It's even more glaring when you look at ratios outside the continent, but within WA here; Sierra Leone, Liberia, Gambia, Guinea, Senegal and many more have much higher representation per capita/vis-a-vis their populations (at least comparatively speaking)

So the other countries where people emigrate to the US don't have regional imbalances in emigration as well? Look at the Ethiopia in my example, the majority of its American diaspora are Amharas , whereas Oromos are a majority back home. Has that stopped immigration into US?
