Many people these days think that it is 'modern' and cool to look down on the Bible. But, many of the problems we have in the world and in our lives today come from disregarding biblical principles.

For example, there is this post on the home page talking about a father and a daughter who are obviously into each other in a romantic sense.

Will that kind of girl ever be able to "leave her father and mother and become ONE flesh" with her husband according to Genesis 2:24?

Marriage is meant only for those who are mature, those who have become mature enough that they have cut the umbilical cord linking them to their parents both physically and otherwise.

Unfortunately, people continue to be attached to their parents more than they are attached to their spouses. It is both ways. But, it appears that women are more guilty of this than men.

Recently, a friend's wife asked me to help her build a blogging profile. As she said, "I want to do what Linda Ikeji is doing".

But, when I noticed that she was using her maiden surname to build her blog profile instead of her husband's surname, I pointed it out. I went ahead to create a better-sounding name using a combination of her husband's first name and hers. But, since then, she began to sideline me.

To show you that there might be more women than you imagine, who are attached to their fathers in a way that is detrimental to their marital pact or future, see the seeming incensuous girl reported on the HP already getting loads of support from her Nairaland colleagues.

Men, stop getting romantic with your daughters. You are damaging them through that. So, you are wicked, not the loving dad your naive daughter may think you are.

There is a reason why God told humans toleave father and mother and unite with their spouse. Now, people are not doing that and want to be happy on Earth. Impossible.

God bless you Op. You can imagine the support that post garnered. For me it only shows the state of moral decadence and corrupting wokeness of this generation. Very appalling to say the least.

I keep imagining how people will see and feel nothing wrong with a father and his daughter indulging romantically no matter how close they are. At least some of us have daughters (last daughters or only daughters as the case may be) we love too much.

You don't need to sleep with your daughter before becoming guilty of incestuous immorality with her in the sight of God. Just as immorality can be committed by unwholesome physical contact between two unmarried people without the actual sex, so can family members commit incest without necessarily having sex as long as an unwholesome, ungodly and an unbiblical connection gets formed between them.

I saw one the other day about a father and his young daughter lying compromisingly on bed in a somewhat unethical position (at least the father to the innocently young daughter should have known better). I felt very incredulous when some individuals went as far a labelling those who felt there actions weren't ideal as perverts and ill-thinking mongers. I was puzzled and perplexed at the same time. These things I see daily grieves my heart about the state of human godlessness.

It is not wrong to love intimately and dearly one's daughter but we must be guided the way we go about it. Modernity is really changing the norm and the natural into the unnatural as the Bible puts it.

How will my future son-law feel (in his full glare) when I begin to kiss kiss and get romantically cozy and unacceptably close to my dear lovely daughter and vice versa all in the name of I love her so much. Isn't this wounding to the conscience and ethically and morally wrong. Besides, this will hamper her romantic and psychological bond with her would-be husband because I may have created an internal and emotional closeness with her which will be the yardstick with which she measures her husband's and herself's emotional compatibility in future.

We just allow the devil all in the name of modernity manipulate and create sinful appetite in us by our not-a-big deal and careless actions. Romantic and sexual or near sexual bond should only be between husband and wife and not between fathers and their daughters or mothers and their sons. There's a place and position of love the father and mother occupies in their children's heart. This should not be confused for something else.

Immorality is now so disguised that we don't even know again what it is. And terrible enough, these state of sinful confusions is seen as nothing or as what it should be.

Indeed, this generation is no longer in God's hands but rather on God's scale of measurement. God is sizing this generation's deeds, acts and desires. So much confusion in the land. How will somebody who is not even born again see the wrong in such actions as the above. May God help us.
