Nursing was the single most game changers for Nigerians, men started changing careers to nursing and that changed their living standards.

Most are comfortable, not that they are millionaires in dollars. The system here is not like the one in Nigeria where you can easily accumulate millions.
But it is easy here to enjoy absolute comfort without being a millionaire

Do you consider yourself successful driving Uber 15 hours a day just to stay above water or someone with Master's in Nigeria doing group home on Yankee? Average Nigerian are hardworking abroad but hard work does not pay that much except you invest in yourself. A conducive environment for business. As a taxi driver in Nigeria do you know how many touts you will have to settle before loading passengers? Including the one that union collects. After loading, you meet some misfits in police uniform. Of course you will settle them. At the end of the day what is your take home profit? Also consider inflation in the price of foodstuffs etc.




Now, compare it to abroad. Once you are registered as a taxi driver. That is all. Although I believe there is a sort of due or levy they pay there. Consider their economy.

I know a lot of Nigerians doing the same. Not bad for a guy that attended Ebenezer Primary School Oke Ado in Ibadan. Came to America with $82 in his pocket By the way my house had been fully paid for 5 years ago. I say not too shabby.
