All the Regions existed under Aguiyi Aguiyi Ironsi, infact, he was the only military head of state who kept the Regions. Major Ademoyega, Captain Oyewole and Lt Adeleke, who all played leading roles in the coup, were not Igbos, they were Yorubas.
