Former presidential aspirant vows to grant sovereignty to Biafra, Yoruba Nation

Former Nigeria presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, on Tuesday said in the event he becomes the president of the country, he will change the country’s name to ‘The Nigerian Federation’.

Garba also stated that as president, he will grant sovereign autonomy to Republics of Biafra and Oduduwa, “all under the suzerainty of the Nigerian Federation”.

“When I have the opportunity , I will change Country’s name to “The Nigerian Federation “ and grant sovereign autonomy to republic of Biafra and Oduduwa, all under the “Suzerainty” of the Nigerian Federation. Everyone will be respected. That’s all,” Garba wrote on his known Facebook page.

Nigeria is a federal republic, with executive power exercised by the president. The president is the head of state, the head of government, and the head of a multi-party system.

POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Garba had aspired to be president in 2019, and contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). But he didn’t succeed in getting the party ticket.

It is still unclear if the 39-year-old will contest for any office in the 2023 Nigerian general election.
