Before I begin, I am not a pastor. I am a useless sinner who is trying his best to live in accordance with God's commandments.

The devil likes to taunt and he uses Unbelievers as his favourite taunting tool. When he taunts he does it to target and trap most especially the following:

1. Followers of Christ who are still babes when it comes to understanding the scriptures.

2. Followers of Christ experiencing problems or trials be it in the form of unforseen circumstances or persecution.

When he succeeds in trapping the former and latter, these ones too out of ignorance join Unbelievers in taunting. That is a simple summarised history of nairaland "atheists" for you by the way.

One of the devil's most favourite taunt is that God ordered the murder of infants and babies so therefore he must be very wicked and bloodthirsty.

Think about that for a second, The devil, the father of the lie, the one who seeks to destroy all that God called good, he deceives people into thinking that God who is merciful, patient and long suffering towards people and nations like the ninevites, that same God is wicked and blood thirsty because he ordered the murder of children and infants.

When the Israelites came of Egypt and were travelling across the wilderness weary and exhausted, one of the first Nations to attack them from behind was the amalekites. They were just one among many other surrounding pagan nations that commited the following:

Idolatry
Human Sacrifice (child sacrifice)
Despicable acts of sexual immorality (beastiality included)
Witchcraft, Sorcery and Divination.
Cannibalism.

God told his people to never forget what the amalekites did to them. Before God takes action on a particular nation, He is patient with them untill their iniquity reaches a full measure. Don't ask me how do I know, learn to sit down and read your Bible.

Fast forward to the time of king Saul, God ordered for the amalekites to be wiped out. Men, women, children, infants and animals. Total annihilation.

But why will God order for children and infants to be murdered you ask..

These were children who had become completely desensitized to gross acts of wickedness and bloodshed. To give you all a vivid illustration, Remember the movie apocalypto. It's a movie that depicted a glimpse of what these pagan nations were like. In one particular scene, as the heart of a human was being ripped out during a sacrifice, children were made to watch, one even teasing and laughing..



These pagan nations were deep in witchcraft and sorcery. They participated in rituals that evoked ethereal spirits (Demons) to possess their infants all in the name of making them great. A glimpse of such rituals can be seen here...



When these infants and children grow up and begin to manifest unspeakable acts of wickedness than their fathers as a result of their desensitized and demon possessed minds, some people will begin to open that their mouth to question God why he created them in the first place abi?

Alot of you are ignorant on the kind of heartless sin most of these nations committed and how God was patient with them. The king of amalekites was said to have made women childless with his sword. He wanted his own nation to produce devilish wicked children but rendered other nations childless. Imagine what he must have done to those women to cause them to be childless. The pain and torture.

Alot of us are ignorant on certain demonic rituals and how pagans evoke and play with demons like toys because we are warned to stay off such things and we are not there to witness what they do. But God that sees what people do in secret and searches the deep things of people's hearts, we have mouth to question him when he orders for a pagan bloodthirsty wicked demonic nation to be wiped off the surface of the earth. Chai, Human beings!

Heavenly father, I thank you for being a God who is long suffering and patient. Continue to remember that we are all weak and imperfect humans who know not our left or right. Forgive us when we utter certain words or statements. Shield all followers of Christ, whether babe-like or mature from the devil and his cunning tricks and taunts. Draw people, including unbelievers to know who you really are and continue to give us wisdom knowledge and understanding of your precious book the Bible. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Excusing the murder of children means excusing every form of crime and genocide ever committed by humans.

The worst part is that the murder of the children and women did not prevent evil for spreading.
In fact it created a karma that the surviving child(ren) spearheaded the destruction of Israel.

Well I've never been against God killing anyone or destroying anything. He kills and makes alive, doing whatever pleases Him with pure motives. I've always known that there's always a reason for an action, like you rightly put that before He unleashes His wrath on anybody or nation,He first allows for a time of self realization and adjustment but if that isn't forthcoming,He goes forth and strike. He's merciful and also a consuming fire. He won't because you are a human or somehow a religious fellow and overlook your mistakes. You suffer what you brought upon yourself. No one is exempted from His equity and fairness. Moses,Aaron, Miriam, David all had a taste of God's other side.
