Re: How To Be A Nigerian by tpia: 11:07pm On Jul 26, 2007
first of all, this video is based on an article written by mr Reuben Abati, a fairly well known columnist in some circles. So maybe the beef should be with Mr Abati, although in his defence he may not have intended his article to be used in such a manner.

secondly, did any of the people shouting here register any complaints about this video?Youtube is an open , free service and anyone can post a video there.  You can either make a complaint about the video or upload something more positive.

Whichever Nigerian posted this video is an idiot. And the only person they are harming is themselves.  You don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

I just checked the video poster, and he calls himself Okoroman from Biafra. Well, he has issues and may God help him solve them.

Re: How To Be A Nigerian by BABEELOVE(f): 12:54pm On Jul 27, 2007
Yes, the truth is very, very bitter!!!! We need to try to make our country more desirable to us instead of accepting what has shamefully become the "norm"!!! May God grant us courage to fight those things that keep us from progressing. May God touch every Nigerian's heart to only do those things that will make Nigerians proud inside and outside Nigeria!!!!!! This is terrible!!!!! embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

I was in class yesterday and I over heard a conversation among a group of people talking about Nigeria is a breeding ground for Fraudsters.  I had no choice but to jump into the conversation and I asked all this guys if they've ever been to Nigerian, and they said no.  I asked if they knew where Nigeria is and they responded no as well, so I asked how they were so knowledgeable about this issue and the country Nigeria, and they said CNN and the internet. I was apappalled and responded as well,. OK, Every night when I turn on my TV The 1st 5 minute is devoted to Murder and thug killins.  Will it be fair to say Americans are thugs? and they said No, so my point is we are not doing ourselves any good by posting this kind of degenerating and humiliating video, who ever posted that video should be ashame and crawl back to his mothers womb.

I am just tired. Honestly, I am. I have read about all the things Oprah Winfred said, watched this U Tube video, read the ordeal of Osuofia in Amsterdam and also read an article in The Guardian (link provided below) all of them today. Is it that Nigeria is too big to manage? Is it that we are so difficult to rule (which I know its not), is it about leadership? I, really, am tired.

You think it's the end,but it's just a beginning,we are just starting,it doesn't have to be very good in our time, but we will lay a solid foundation for the nest generation,if we don't accept and confront the problems,we can't solve it .No country in the world is without problems, even america, but problems differs, ours is ours,so we have to tackle it and forget about what the rest of the world thinks, who feels it knows it.

okoroman (the nuisance responsible for that youtube clip) ought to be ashamed of himself! he does not deserve to call himself a nigerian
I am not trying to pretend that Nigeria is not bad, but i think its absolutely shameful for anybody to do that to their own country. SHAME ON YOU OKOROMAN.
I would also recommend elocution for this okoroman.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! All this vernom for a prodigal child called "Nigeria"!!!  Next time teach your child "Nigeria" how to conduct it's self outside and inside of "Nigeria" so it does not bring you the disgrace that is almost causing you to have a "cyber heart attack" now! If we love our children, we will correct them when they are straying not reward them with all goodies and praises---------even when they come last in class. We do that because they are a reflection on us.

Sorry?  Have you read what you wrote to see how disrespectful you sound? You can express your love to people who care for that kind of language ok?  I DON'T!!!! What if I made such a statement to you of that nature?  You will be the first to say something smart---------looking for cheap sympathy like you always do!!!! Like you know it all!!!!

I do not make disrespectful comments to people generally speaking-------no matter how low they may be.  I did not disrespect anyone--but only aired my view like most of you run around and do most of the time here unchecked.  You boasted a while back that you were "pursuing" some degree in LAW right? You need to start acting like you are----------so the degree---LAW-- does not start "pursuing" you!!!!!

This only confirms my suspicions that Seun, the owner of this web site, will watch his favorite "kids" run around here unchecked and turn around and censure others.  I really don't care about that, afterall it is his website---So that's all well and good!!!!   Keep up with your insults!!!! Like father, like son!!!! Are we surprised
