90% of those students their parents are being owed by the same government either in the form of salaries, pension, unfriendly business environment due to bad policies etc...

Exactly.. I felt fulfilled whenever i remember the positive impacts i had on my students during my NYSC days. Those children cried when i was leaving.

Our education system has failed, why are they now making it compulsory for parents to bring the chairs their children will sit on, that's wrong of them, it's the duty of the government to provide chairs for the students.

Most teachers have peace of mind. I have attempted to take up appointment outside the classroom twice that would have tripled my salary but my heart always prevail on me to remain in the classroom for my peace and I'm happy I listened.

Good for him... good for the students. Sooo many make noise about giving back to the community ... doing things that have little benefit. On chairs.... why not benches and desks? One may not realize it .... but chairs in the classroom supports the Western culture of individualism ... my chair ... my space. Bench and desk support the African culture of sharing ... the need to share the space available on the bench and desk. Just saying

The government cannot afford chairs for students. Can you imagine after collect money for registration you wil be ask to buy chair and later that said chair you are not taking it back.
