7 Reasons To Take Care Of Your Liver by LeadingCare(m): 9:47am On Dec 02, 2021
*1. YOUR LIVER IS YOUR LIFE.*

The liver is the largest internal organ. It is an organ and also a gland. You can't live if your liver is damaged totally.

It's not something you probably think much about, but your liver is a key player in your body's digestive system. Everything you eat or drink, including medicine, passes through it. You need to treat it right so it can stay healthy and do its job.

The liver does many important things:
# It makes bile, which helps carry away waste and break down fats in the small intestine during digestion.
# It makes certain proteins for blood plasma.
# It makes cholesterol and special proteins to help carry fats through the body.

*2. EMPOWER YOUR LIVER AND PREVENT IT FROM DAMAGE.*

A lot of factors can cause liver damages which include but not limited to:
^ Type 2 diabetes.
^ Alcohol
^ Obesity
^ Infections
^ Immune system abnormality
^ Genetics and so on.

Liver disease doesn't always cause noticeable signs and symptoms. If signs and symptoms of liver disease do occur, they may include:

Skin and eyes that appear yellowish (jaundice)/ Abdominal pain and swelling/Itchy skin/Dark urine color/Pale stool color/Chronic fatigue, among others.

*The good story is that your liver can repair itself and grow back to full size within a matter of months when damaged.*

To achieve this, detox regularly and keep a watch on your immune system

*3. IF YOU'VE GOTTEN HEPATITIS, TREAT IT FAST*

Hepatitis refers to an inflammatory condition of the liver. It is commonly the result of a viral infection, but there are other possible causes of hepatitis which include alcohol, toxins and autoimmune abnormalities.

The five main viral classifications of hepatitis are hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E.
A different virus is responsible for each type of viral hepatitis.

Some common liver problems aside Hepatitis are, fatty liver, cirrhosis, cancer...

*4. STAY AWAY FROM MSG AND MAGGI*

MSG (Monosodium Glutamate).

Some studies suggest that the chemical in maggi may make the liver fatty and inflamed, which can lead to NAFLD (Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) and liver cancer.

In the food industry, MSG is used as a flavor enhancer for its widespread contribution of the umami taste (Umami means “essence of deliciousness” in Japanese).
MSG is used to intensify the meatiness and savory aroma and taste of some processed meats, soups, stews and many other foods.

*The good story is that there are 100s of spices in your reach to replace MSG and they are reach in flavors.*

*5. STAY AWAY FROM JUNKS*

Most of the junks and canned foods and drinks you take have preservatives and artificial colorings that may harm your liver and other vital organs in your body.

Researchers have reported that artificial preservatives such as nitrates, benzoates, sulfites, sorbates, parabens, formaldehyde, BHT, BHA and several others can cause serious health hazards such as hypersensitivity, allergy, asthma, hyperactivity, neurological damage and cancer.

*6. LIVER PROBLEMS MAY LEAD TO ANOTHER PROBLEMS IN YOUR BODY*

There is a keen connection between the liver and the gallbladder. Your liver makes a powerful digestive juice called bile. Next, the bile passes to the gallbladder which concentrates and stores it for later use. Bile helps break down the food you eat.

If the liver is damaged it may lead to gallbladder condition known as Gallstones (hardened deposits of digestive fluid.)

*7. YOUR LIVER PROTECTS YOUR KIDNEY*

The liver and the kidneys are some of the most essential and hardworking organs in the body. They carry out numerous functions such as excretion of waste, metabolism of many substances, hormonal regulation, and proper digestion, as well as proper coagulation.

The liver converts nitrogenous waste into a less toxic substance called urea. Urea is released from liver cells into the bloodstream and transported to the kidneys. The kidneys filter urea and other toxic waste from the blood to be excreted from the body as urine.

People with acute liver failure are more likely to develop infections, particularly in the blood and in the respiratory and urinary tracts.
Kidney failure often occurs after liver failure, especially if you had an acetaminophen overdose, which damages both your liver and your kidneys.
