I guess you just don't get it. June 12 is not
about Abiola rather its about the people of
nigeria speaking with one voice. Its about
those in power subverting the people's will
and the way and manner the citizenery
responded to this blatant disregard for the
masses choice by those who have
arrogated the right to ruleruin us to
themselves and their cronies. Its poignant
and shameful that you saw the need to
trivialise the matter by making it sectional
'cause its definately ain't.

I tend to agree with, albeit by half. June 12 was because of the masses doing something that has never been done.
Abiola?, he was voted for because he was the best devil between himself and tofa (being he was an hausaman, and the rest of 9jas had gotten tired of them folks. Though history would later prove he was a decent businessman throughly).
For those in power subverting our will, IMO, i think they did us a helluva kind of favor because they knew this candidate much more better than the masses, he taught how to loot, how to grab by hook and crook (itt), how to accumulate (his 1k & 1 biz's), how to have a hand in every pie (politicalised army officers) etc. Handing the rein of a more economically sound 9ja (compared to now) to a common thief would even make the lootest (i am forming my own english) hausa political leader turn in his grave!

Na who ask them? favour ko, disfavour ni.
And what did we get in place of Abiola? OBJoke! I suppose he obj is not corrupt? They are all thieves, jo!
Obj stole us blind as a military dictator yet they brought him back from gaol for a second helping.
The point is, they asked us to vote and we did- in the flipping rain. They should have respected our collective wishes.

Why didn't they annulled the 2007 election which gave us a "dead-man-walking" as president?
Abiola would have still been more effective (as our president) than that slowpoke called yar dozer who spent most of his term in one foreign hospital or the other, at our expense!
