I opened an account on Tinder and in just under 1 week, I got attention from a lady. We started chatting and from her responses, I knew straight away that she/he was a suspected scammer on the Tinder app. However, I decided to play along until she/he asks for money (which is a scammer ultimate goal). I knew their act of deleting messages when caught, so I had to screenshot chats before I bust him/her.

After busting him/her, the chat/account was deleted by her/him. But I had screenshot the chat as well waiting for the day she/he will ask for money.

What is your problem are you a kid, someone pleaded without that she doesn't have money to eat and you went ahead and declined so why posting her pictures all over the net. What evidence do you have that she is a scammer to warrant you calling her one and posting her pictures. Please bring down all these pictures, before it puts you in trouble

@Op wetin you come gain as you post her pictures ehn ...... you don decline her request no be to move on be next .... na small pikin sense dey worry you .

1. She might actually be in need of the money. Not everyone in need of assistance is a gold digger.

2. You have a right to choose not to help, but you don't have the right to post her picture publicly.

3. Consider the possibility that someone might be impersonating her, and begging for alms online with her photos.

4. You seem not to be aware that how you handled this is also a confession of your character. and quite frankly, a bad one.

Now please for the sake of posterity, delete his picture. It is just wrong. I have reported this thread, hopefully, the mod is sensible enough to trash it off.

I won't be surprised if some of you guys bashing the screenshots are fellow scam artists.

Probably a male using a female account and an innocent person's pics...sharing the lady's pics isn't ideal since you have not been scammed.

People share their experiences online for others to take note of and be warned when dealing with people online. If he/she was genuine she/he could have responded to my No-No but instead, as I said no transfer of money, she/he deleted chat! I have had encounters with these guys, so I know when I suspect one.

Please take down this thread. It’s an intrusion of privacy of the said young lady. The op didn’t even think that someone else could be using her pictures. Even if she were real, decline her and walk away!

Chai to be graduate no mean say person get sense at all. Take down the pics , you have no proof she is a scammer , you got no idea if someone else is using her pics to catfish.

If you want to be voltron bro head over to other threads here on NL and fish out scammers at least e no far. Auto, technology sections and more are there for you to do investigation. Seems this is your first time of a lady getting into your dm.

There are many on that site, the best you can do is report the account, if you really want to do this you go tire , wonder if a non Nigerian chats you up , how you go do sef

Niceee, the account is a catfish account.
I also encountered same account on tinder with same chat format...except this time, she's visiting enugu on 28th and was there in april.
Has a dad that died from prostate cancer, has a younger brother called peter, her mom is her idle, learning hairdressing from a cousin called sandra, studying ecostat in uniben etc etc...last last the person still ask for money lol.
