One of my favourite stories in the bible is the story of Joseph (the dreamer)...

The guy who's dreams everyone laughed at

Even his own parents

Who were very fond of him...

Thought Joseph had gone bananas, when he shared his dreams with them.

Eventually?

He proved everybody wrong.

And in the end...

Not only did they get to enjoy his wealth.

But in the nick of times...

When things got pretty rough back home ... and it looked like everyone was doomed...

It was Joseph who saved em.

Sound familiar?

Yep.

Pretty similar to the story of most folks I've helped become well-paid writers in my industry

Growing up, nothing spectacular...

Nobody woulda thought "they had it in them"

People must have laughed when they shared their dreams...

Because well...

They didn't have any of those "special child qualities" ...

Or the kinda potential that made people think...

This one will succeed.

If anything, it was the exact opposite

Like they had a lot of "red flags"

Attributes that... at the time...

Made friends and family doubt if they'd ever amount to anything in life...

Maybe they weren't that bright academically...

Maybe they weren't serious in school

Maybe they even dropped out at some point

Maybe they always rebelled

Maybe they were just never really good at anything

As such...

No one ever took them seriously.

At one point or the other...

They were probably used as "bad examples" of what not to be...

Plus...

In a lot of cases...

At some point... This person didn't even think they were going to amount to anything in life...

They just carried on with their lives...

Hoping for the best...

But along the line...

Something inside them snapped

And even till this day...

They still can't explain it

The only thing they might tell you is...

At one point... they were just overcome with a sudden burning desire to rewrite their story ...

I can't fully explain what this feeling is...

But I've experienced it

It's same feeling that led me to discover Copywriting after I lost my banking job in 2016

Same feeling that drove the likes of Ronald Nzimora to discover this skill ...

Today.. he (who many never thought would amount to anything) ... is now living a life most people can't even dream of ...

I mean, yeah... he walks around wearing Tshirts and slippers ...

If you didn't know him personally...

You'd easily write him off as "a nobody"

But he has money.

I mean...

This guy bought a house for =N= 70Million

Which is really not a lot of money when you understand how things work in our business.

And to say he can now take care of his loved ones,

without ever having to worry about money...

would be an understatement of laughable proportions.

It's not just Ronald... or even me for that matter...

There's 1,000s of folks with similar stories (whose lives were tranformed by Copywriting)...

But the reason I mention Ron

Is to draw your attention to something;

Whether it's Ron...

Or someone else who's story inspires you....

If you pay close attention, you'll see a common the thread that's consistent with each person's story

Never really looked like they'd amount to anything.

Written off by almost everyone around them.

Struggled.

Struggle leads to eye-opening discovery about how things can be better...

Mindset shift.

Learned a skill.

Put in the work.

Transformation.

Different stories, different folks, same thread.

I don't know what your current circumstance is...

Or if you've ever feel anything close to what I felt when I discovered the skill of Copywriting...

The only thing I can say is...

If you don't already have the kind of life you've always wanted for yourself (or your loved ones)

Or you're not already on track to making it happen

Sooner than later, something in you will snap

You'll just get mad.

But in a positive kinda way...

Like...

The realization that this can't be all there is to life

I deserve better

My loved ones deserve better...

It's this sort of feeling...

That awakens the giant in you.

Most people never experience this

Some do, but they ignore the feeling

Thinking they don't have what it takes...

Or simply allowing that restrictive voice within (or folks around), to talk them out of even trying...

So they give up altogether...

And just carry on with life as it is.

Sorry tale.

But here's the thing...

If you're lucky enough to experience that feeling

And you have a sense that some sort of awakening has happened inside you..

You'll most likely have a burning desire to ACT on it

Then, at this point....

The universe will get the signal that you're ready

As such, it will send you a vehicle to help you arrive at your desired destination...

Might be the opportunity to learn a life-changing skill like Copywriting

Or maybe a business idea...

Or just something else,

I don't know

But what I can say is...

When this vehicle arrives, you'll know...

And you won't even think twice about getting in

Actually, you'll give it your heart and soul...

Because you know instinctively that it's the journey that will transform your life...

Case in point:

You'll pick up the barton and never look back...

The objective being not just to rewrite your story...

But to be able to support your loved ones whenever the need arises...

Sure enough, it will require some work

And consistency too...

Nothing will happen overnight

But eventually...

If you just keep your head down and stick to trusting the process...

It will be more than worth it.

About 10-weeks ago or so...

I was having a late night convo with my buddie Tamilore Adewuyi

That night:

He gave me an interesting backstory

When he just started out as an affiliate marketer

The money wasn't necessarily pouring in (as expected, if u're just getting ur start in any field)

But in his case, it was so bad...

One guy, an acquiantance of his...

Told him to leave affiliate marketing

And join them in some "lucrative as Bleep" investment scheme

One that was paying out millions every week.

Like, the way it worked was:

Just get people to invest X amount

And as you'll get a chunk of the money...

Up to 30% or so.

The guy said it in a very condescending tone

"... you've been doing this affiliate marketing thing long before I joined [name of investment scheme], look how much I'm making... see your life... why don't you leave this thing and just join us?"

Tami said he was very tempted

I mean, all that money

Quick and fast

Few minutes of work daily...

But he's also a very smart dude

And despite the appeal of quick gains...

Something made him pause and think:

"Where's that 30% coming from?"

When he asked the question...

The guy mumbled something along the lines of...

Well, I don't know... but does it matter? This stuff is paying... People are cashing out. I mean, I just bought a car, less than 3-months in, How much is affiliate marketing paying you?

Again, condescending tone

Yet, the whole thing wasn't adding up

So Tami didn't budge.

Fast-forward a few months later,

The investment scheme crashed.

The supposed founder (who know one knew and had never seen...) suddenly disappeared.

That guy... Tami's acquaintance...

Who'd collected billions from people ...

As an investment manager, to help them "manage their money, w/ 30% returns every month"

...Got caught up in a very huge mess.

One he may never get out of.

And Tami?

Now one of Nigeria's top affiliate marketers

With a monthly income and a girlfriend to kill for

I mean, I've seen the woman, she's kinda hot.

And sure as hell...

Tami ain't running away from people whose monies he collected, in the name of helping them invest

His story is fairly consistent with most of my students now earning $1,000s in writing fees

Nothing much in the first 6-12 months

But today?

All of which brings me to the point of this mail:

When you choose to focus on one thing

There'll be lots of folks in your face

Asking you how much you're making...

Telling you (almost mocking you) to "leave it"

And join them ... in that one thing everyone else but you seems to be making a fortune from.

Truth be told:

If you're not already making any serious money in your chosen field...

It can be very tempting to shift camp.(Like Nigerian politicians are won't to do every 4 years)

But what I've learned in life is (and this is something you probably already know...) ...

Good things don't happen overnight.

Especially true financial autonomy.

The operative word here being "True"

Something that stands the test of time.

Come rain, come shine.

And you know...

This thing about the patient dog eating the fattest bone might sound like B.S

Like...

Lots of folks bring up this argument that...

If you wait (or don't take bold immediate action)

Opportunities will pass you by.

Maybe they have a point (can't say)

But if we're talking about being patient enough to trust the process and focus on just 1 thing

Then the patient dog analogy kinda holds water.

I mean, look around you...

The instant-gratification epidemic has never been worse.

People can't focus on 1 thing for more than 1 hour.

These days, society makes it look like...

If you're not making big money from day 1, you don't know what the hell you're doing

As a result...

Lots of folks don't have the patience and discipline to play the long game...

Truth be told?

You can abandon what you're doing now

Chase the next big thing

And maybe make some quick gains.

But in the end?

Poooof!

It all goes away

Because true wealth takes time to build

And the most effective way to go about it?

Patience and singular focus.

Might take 2 years to start seeing the pay off

But eventually, it will be worth your while

And that's true...

Whether you're trying to build a biz...

Or learn a financially valuable skill.

Stay frosty.
