Meta formerly known as. Facebook has announced that effective from January 1, 2022, a value added tax of 7.5% will be charged from every Nigerian using the Ad platform.

This means that every business or organization that wanted to promote their business or products will be charged an extra for VAT as it is in line with the Nigerian VAT charges. Hence, Meta is saying, every Nigerian should add their VAT ID on their payment form on the platform.
