Sir, if this your statement is true, then that is good news but from my own experience admission is not automatic. Like I said in my previous post, secure your admission, don't wait for PTDF. Also, I don't know if PTDF is now awarding more marks to people with admission during the interview like you said, but in the past no mark for such.

Please say only what you know brother! It seems this is your first time of applying for PTDF scholarship and you never bother to ask people with experiences. Many people here are beneficiaries of PTDF scholarship and they will just be laughing at you for gathering confidence just to say something you don't have an iota of idea.

I have attend ptdf interviews more than two times. You have to secure admission if not if even if you get the scholarship you will be ask to defer the scholarship to next year pending when you have gotting admission. If am lying call ptdf number and confirm.

No marks for admission, but they may ask you if you have secured admission already and show prove of it but no marks for it.

I may be wrong but I was only referring to PhD applicants only. I should have stated this earlier

To cut it short for the sake that argument all of you should revisit the advert again and read all through. SECURE YOU ADMISSION BEFORE THE INTERVIEW OR AFTER. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DO THAT BEFORE ADMISSION IS CLOSE. Normally PTDF list used to come out after most schools have close application. That is why some people defer it next the following year.

This happened for PRESSID Scholars. When Buhari came into power, the PRESSID Scholarship was cancelled.

It is very easy to obtain UK admission and it is free. If you had 2.2, choose low rank school like Salford university, MMU, BCU e.t.c to obtain admission.

If you had 2.1 and First class, go for top ranked school like University of Birmingham, Imperial college, University College London, University of Manchester e.t.c. Most of the high ranked school will reject 2.2 for admission.

Hi everyone. I think this is not rocket science. Like someone said, it's free to apply for MSc in any UK university at your comfort zone. Why wait for PTDF? I have attempted this scholarship once, they didn't ask if I had secured admission or not. But i think Whether or not PTDF requires you securing admission yourself, you'll be a step ahead of Mr. A or B who hasn't by the time you're shortlisted for the scholarship. So why not go ahead and do just that? My position on this. Thank you �

The earlier the better. Like me now the course I want to apply at university of Southampton is already close last week. I have look for the other two university choices I have. Most of the admission on UK universities close before June because of visa processing and other stuff. Not only UK but other countries as well.

do it side by side to be on the safe side. What if the school and course you chose when applying for PTDF aren’t accepting applications again after you secure PTDF. What do you think would happen? Such person would lose the scholarship

What about those with offers that will expire soon, e.g in March, do you think PTDF will come through before then? Will it be in the best interest of the applicant to defer such offers till next year?

Would be completing my nysc by April and I already applied for ptdf. Any hope
