Tinapa was supposed to be a continued project to lead to the actualization..... But our political pride won't let the successors to finish up projects and also create their projects as well...

The reason we're spending money and waiting money over nothing..

In the nearest future, Tinapa will be converted to estates and nothing more as the buildings there will begin to get damaged and probably could turn to homes for hoodlums...

Liyel Imoke's tenure as governor of cross-river state really set that state back. God bless Donald Duke. Imagine the nonsense that state now has as a governor sad

What a monumental waste, a colossal loss and gigantic setback. Many times I have wished I were never a Nigerian. I've been to and savoured the serenity of Tinapa. A project that decorated the advert signposts of the EPL even before it took off proper. You could imagine the sum total it took to pull such a stunt. Something that provoked the NTA into complaining that they would have accepted far less an amount to do the same advert (something I beg to defer on anyways)

Cross Rivers state is home to nature. From the thick and densely populated rain forests that houses thousands of rare and endangered species to countless food crops, mountains, rivers, quarries, beautiful landscapes etc.

Most countries in Europe cannot boast of one tenth of what that state is endowed with. But here we are.... It is #Painful to say the least.

The truth is Nigeria is not ripe for certain things we are attempting that's why it always end up failing. Our government KNOW that, but their own na to use Mickey Mouse project cash out. After all it's a win win for them, they eat money and the people still praise them for doing nothing.

Most time what our government does is starting a building from the roofing level instead of the foundation. Not until we build our economy, expect more of this.

Great post!
I have worked on the biodiversity conservation of Cross River. Funny enough, project funders are foreigners (GEF).
