The Scottish accent never ever fails to get me laughing. grin grin. I also find it sexy! Reading a poem recently titled 'Cudddle doon' (by Alexander Anderson). Goes thus:

The bairnies cuddle doon at nicht
Wi' muckle fash an' din
"Oh, try and sleep, ye waukrife rogues;
Your father's comin' in."
They never heed a word I speak.
I try to gie a froon;
But aye I hap them up, an' cry,
"Oh, bairnies, cuddle doon!"

Wee Jamie wi' the curly heid-
He aye sleeps next the wa'-
Bangs up an' cries, " I want a piece"
The rascal starts them a'
I rin an' fetch them pieces, drinks-
They stop awee the soun' -
Then draw the blankets up, an' cry,
"Noo, weanies cuddle doon!"

4 more verses of the poem to go and I am still laughing my socks off grin grin, and saying to meself ' I cannae really translate tha'! cheesy cheesy

you need to understand that english is not the native language of the scots. they used to speak scottish, the welsh welsh and irish gaelic. just like english is killing our local languages it did same to theirs.

American accent is easy to understand now, which american movie have you ever watched that you didn't understand? cheesy And don't even get me started on you folks driving on the wrong side of the road  shocked . . . that was just about the freakiest thing I had ever seen  grin crossing the street almost became an olympic event as everything was opposite and required brain activity lol. Una self, too much drama  grin
This is so hilarious but that’s because you are not used to the driving side of U.K lol and this doesn’t means it is wrong, it’s just different.
