FCMB staffs come to my school campus sometime ( 3yrs) ago to open an account for students and I happen to be one of them.

Fast forward to last month I wanted to start using the account, so I went to their branch office here in my state, so as to upgrade and deposit some cash in the account.

To my greatest surprise I found out that this so call FCMB staffs used another man's passport on my account. When I asked, the lady in charge told me to update my data and also deposit some money into the account to facilitate my account upgrade.

Please legal practitioners in the house, is there anyway I can press charges for this act.

PS: The account is already linked with my bvn.

I bet you na this kind case him dey like because no be small money go come out from fcmb as compensation...you fit sell the case give person wey get the resources to push the case .... this case na your call God don pick so, just do the needful before Fcmb retract their mistake.

you can surely sue them... But be ready for a very long legal battle.
If you have the resources to keep up with the legal proceedings, you will surely win the case.

I seriously don't see any need for pressing charges. You said you opened it 3 years ago when they came to your school campus. So it's very possible that they must have mixed the passports up with the loads of other applications. I will kindly advise that you do what the lady told you. Pressing charges will invite more expenses. [THINK ABOUT IT]

It could be on purpose, GTB did same and my details are intact.
I didn't even link my BVN to the account GTB had to send me an email to link my BVN to the new account.

Lest I forgot, FCMB folks took a picture of all of us that didn't have passport with us during the process of account opening.

Oh that's the more reason why the mistake was made. They didn't know which passport belonged to who. My dear. Just let go. You see all those people encouraging you to press charges. They won't be there when the going becomes tougher. So just forget. It's a terrible mistake on their part. But I don't think it's enough to start any Court wahala
