Let Me Correct A Narration About SE Electoral Strength. by Zetra7: 11:02am On Dec 24, 2021
Everyday you hear about the inconsequential strength of SE electoral vote yet many who propagate these lies still termed SE as the major tribe in Nigeria. A major tribe with over 50 million people yet been termed inconsequential? Many Nigerians are not smart.

First SE is Igbo but there are Indigenous Igbos to some parts of SS and even NC.

In the SE, there is less opportunities for Igbo men considering their zeal and talent in business, this led to mass migration to every nook and cranny of Nigeria, Africa and to the rest of the world.

But to limit this to Nigeria, the saying is valid that after the indigene of every state , the next populous group are Igbos...

What does this mean, that yes the electoral vote of the SE might seem small but in the real sense, every vote in other states are either tumped up or down by Igbo votes..

Lets us case studies from 4 great Nigerian states. Rivers , Lagos , Kaduna and Abuja.

PDP. APC

Rivers - 473 871 150 710
Lagos - 448 015 580 825
Abuja -. 259 997 152 224
Kaduna - 649 612. 993 445

From the above, we see that even in the North and SW base of APC , that the opposition vote was still solid. The Igbo votes teaming up with the rest of the opposition indigenes shores up the data in favour of PDP.

Lagos is purely an APC state which controlled the whole Local government yet PDP with little base still gave it a run for their money. Now in Abuja , the trajectory speaks volume, despite as capital in a northern zone , went to the PDP an insult for the sitting president.

The point is Igbo votes spread beyond SE, anyone who neglect their vote in politics is not a politician.

May I remind you that even Buhari had to run with Igbos for a number of times , that doesn't make him stupid. He simply ran with SW in 2015 as Igbos were all invested in GEJ.

As 2023 powers forward, Igbos and SS will determine where the presidency goes. The presidency will be between Northerner Vs Swesterner, whoever carries the day in the SE and SS will easily win 2023....

Stop lying to yourself.. Igbos have played themseleves out of any politics in Nigeria with IPOB no election and sit at home orders. How many people came out to vote in the last Anambra elections?

How many Igbos have voters card and registration for 2023 elections? or you think Yorubas and Northerners that are registering are fools that will go and vote an Igbo candidate whose people don't have belief in Nigeria or her progress. 2023 no far again, na your eyes you go use see am.

Many times l have said this here that they, the ibo should accept any share of federal patronage giving to them in good fate.either SP or any other appointment.

See op, we are moving forward but slowly.. now that the big boss has decided to choose by himself a man from the south is ok..

Wear a knowing smile op... Don't make it look as if the ibos bore all the burdens of this world

It is high time we smiled like mine grin grin grin

There's nothing to understand from the lies hopelessly senseless Igbos make daily on NL.

Imagine the lunatics claiming Igbos are the largest tribe after the indigene in every given state. May it never be well with the OP for making that assertion.

Even in Lagos foolish Igbos make noise daily Igbo are not to talk of being the next after Yorubas, talkmore of every other tribe.

I beg to differ n history as shown only foolish Yoruba will believe this. You can judge from relationship btw the leaders of both region from the past.

Which Igbo leader is antagonized in the West ? None. Which Yoruba leader is not antagonize in the East ? ALL.

You're actually pained because of his opinion. To the point you said "it shall never be well with him". And it shall be well with you?
That aside: if you check Nigeria census figures, the column of State of Origin will put this to rest.
But I know from census figures have confirmed his claim.

You are absolutely right, especially in places like Lagos, abuja, Rivers and nassarawa. I just wish people can be allowed to vote anywhere rather than compulsorily where they registered.

No wonder osibanjo lost his booth to atiku Obi in Lagos, even tinubu was about doing same till billion van was brought in

This is very laughable.

1) There is no mention of tribes in our laws when computing the criteria for winning the presidential election but there are mentioning of States. How much votes do the parties get or likely to get from each State?

2) The OP made a subtle wrong assumption that votes received by the PDP were casted by the Igbos.

This is a big fallacy sir. There are PDP members/fans/sympathizers from Fulani, Nupe, Yoruba, Ijaw, Urhobo and all other tribes.

But the other day someone whose political interest aligns with yours called that “big boss” expired milk and today you are jumping up and down because he endorsed Osinbajo? I will gladly vote for Osinbajo if he is candidate but you all must learn to stay one place. Shebi he is no longer an expired milk. Kwantinue

This was the same thing that was on my mind this morning and two factors are the problem. First, most igbos live outside SE and secondly, most of the ones residing in SE don’t care to vote. I’m not sure about those living outside SE.
Anambra election was nothing to write about with just 10% turn out and you think people would take them seriously? The problem we have for igbos outside the East is that there is lack of demographics to tell the percentage of groups that participate in elections. We equally have the number to influence things as well but sadly, we are not using it.

Did you just claim that the ibo population is over 50 million? Haba oga that's like one quarter of the entire population. Even hausa who are the most populated ethnic group can't make such a claim but you're right when you say ibo votes are not inconsequential

It is only fools that repeat events over and over again.

Nigeria elections did not stop any igbo man from his hustle.

I heard gowon is still alive. May be this time they will share two packets of indomie for you guys.
