Stop making it sound like what he’s saying is invalid, No one should send money to anybody on nairaland before receiving their product. It’s better to use an escrow to avoid stories later.

So, if you want to sell a product online, you'll send the product to a the buyer when the buyer hasn't paid?

Both the buyer and seller should share the risk involved but it's general knowledge that the buyer bears the greater risk when buying something online.

How person wan waybill xbox Series S without payment confirmation, even from escrow(middleman). Shey the buyer get jazz for mouth?
I'm pretty sure those people up complaining, can never send any property worth over 150k without payment confirmation.
Even jumia and konga don't do POD for items of that worth
Na wetin make me tire for console deal, how person go tell me make I send console to his house make he test before making payment, If you want to inspect; show my side, pay before delivery or forget deal.
Every deal is not for everyone.
I'm not vouching for OP oh

But funny enough, but whatever the case you don’t expect a newbie to send out the items to customer without payment, whether scam or not, all my years of buying and selling I never see that one happen, it’s even known sellers that do pay on delivery, not someone new.
Same way I don’t expect a buyer to send out money to a newbie for an item he hasn’t checked
Nobody wants to loose out obviously.
The only case where it’ll seem shady is if OP does not drop a pick up location, where someone can go and check out the console.
If he enforces dispatch only, no pick up then it’s shady.

I don't live in Lagos to use pick up locations.like i said before, if anybody wanna buy outside Benin city make him/she find a way of using someone/somehow to check d console out before payment. besides this not the first time i am selling stuff on nairaland and online in general. for the record my account has been active here since 2014.
