He was abused and punished, but he didn't open his mouth.
He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.

At the very least, what it cost Jesus was, being disguised. He was so brutally abused to the extent that He was so beaten beyond recognition that people couldn't bear looking at Him because He unbearably looked hideous and gruesome to the eyes behold on.
