Greetings fellow Nigeria, it is obvious that our banks just want to use every little opportunity to collect our money! Name one transaction you Carry out in the bank without being charge; You make transfer from your account they charge you, some body transfer money to your account they charge you, at the end of every month they will charge you for account maintenance after paying for all the services they render to you through out the month, what pains me most is that every three months they charge you for quarterly card maintenance! Is this not robbery, please don't mind my grammar.

The most annoying part of it all is that some of these charges are not fixed and such one can't explicitly say how much one will be charged for any transaction. For instance two days ago, I decided to top up my airtime via my Access more app lo and behold I was charged as much as 130 for a 1500 transaction. That was more than 80% of the transaction, in other words, I could be charge 10k had it been I bought 120k airtime from them. I still maintain, Access bank is the most foolish bank in Nigeria. I still have an unreversed 10k in my account, a transaction I did on the 25th of which I was debited for a failed POS withdrawal, who knows how much they will give me from that after series of mails and chats have been sent.

Note, i am not a banker but the banks pay taxes to the government, some money( A kind of insurance premium) to the regulatory body, the CBN.

I am not supporting them for the illegal charges. What I am saying is despite they use customers savings to give out loans they will still go ahead to deduct charges from customers account.

If I get u correctly, all u mentioned are the reasons why GTB deducts 2naira regularly from my acct for no reason? or monthly sms charge for alert that goes to my email instead?

Fidelity deducts 50naira for atm that I didn't request/don't have? or 6.48 naira just for dialing their shortcode?

Ur justification for their fraudulent charges is really surprising
