Imagine how many borrowed to celebrate Christmas...
Someone I know lent a work colleague 1.5m for visa application. shocked
Money that should've been returned in November is now on audio, cos d pesin don Japa undecided
So, just like banks, many of us have ended up letting go of bad debts.
This is for those who want to get their money back- on a budget, because lawyers are expensive.

First, prepare yourself for the work battle ahead.
Then gather your body of evidence-
Screenshots of call and text records
Online chats
Payment receipts
Others, as known to you.

The most use a lawyer is for in such cases involving relatively small amounts (less than 5 million), is to get a police report after your initial statement. And remember- the longer the case drags on, the more your lawyer earns.
But there's a free alternative below! cheesy

These documents are what you should then take to the company's/person's bank.
Then get the relevant agencies involved, by tagging them on Facebook (and Twitter, whenever the ban is lifted angry)-

Legal Aid (and the OPD in Lagos), which both offer FREE legal advice; OPD also offers free mediation services.
Fccpcnigeria;
Your state's Chambers of commerce;
The relevant state ministry and specific agencies- eg, ministry of power and NERC, with powerupng as the NGO;
Eienigeria;
Your state's commissioner of police (or related handle); NBA (thru your lawyer- and will make said lawyer sit up). wink

Also, spend a little on flyers demanding your refund; share them with his/her office boss/neighbors/colleagues/customers; and share the jpeg with his/her personal Facebook contacts- and corporate page, if available.
Nothing motivates such people as much as fear, embarrassment and loss of business.

Good luck and God bless.
Those who've passed thru this fire should contribute their insights.
Merry Christmas.
Happy 2022.

It's very annoying when you lend a person money after he has been begging you for a while yet he still refuses to repay the loan as agreed angry
