my girlfriend and i are in loggerheads because of what a certain man of God asked her to do

This's what happend; prior to the new year, there was a particular crusade that was held in her area which she and her family attended. The pastor asked her to see him privately 4 counceling. She honored the invitation and was told by the pastor that when she get married she would find it difficult to bear a child because of an abortion she did in the past, that the blood has risen against her and all of that.

He asked her to bring an egg, palm oil, some amount of money the used to pray together 4 cleansing. He later gave her one week fasting and even instructed her to call him whenever she wants to break d fast so they pray together.

My major problem is, he ask her to travel to onitsha 4 final prayers when she's done with d fasting and she's so certain about going there and i tried to convince her not to go but she's so adamant.

If ur girlfriend truly did abortion, The best thing for her to do is go to the hospital and check d state of her womb or whatever needs checking... If all is good, make she comot mind for wetin d pastor talk

important question you need to ask her IS: did she ever get an abortion to begin with?!

We all have the opportunity to communicate with God directly. If she truly believes in God, she does not need anyone to intercede for her, she can pray with her own mouth. She can also do a medical test to be sure everything is okay.

People that believe too much in pastors are just a red flag for me.

the pastor was right! She had an abortion in the past. But that's not the major issue here. The manner at wish he claimed he's conducting deliverance is my problem! Why must he even invite her to onitsha before the deliverance will be perfected. Who knows what he has in mind! Think of the insecurity in the country. and to add to it from where she is to onitsha is around 8-9k. That's to show u how far the journey is.

Majority of these so called pastor knows that many of this generation ladies have done abortion, they are just playing on people's mind and once you fall, you're gone...

Call the pastor an explain that you are not financially bouyant to sponsor her travelling down there and further explain that her absence will have a negative impact on her job or school today etc... Try and seem sincere and let her explain likewise... although like someone said up there, it will be difficult for her to see reason...in her mind, she doesn't want to be barren...

Then opt for the cleansing or whatever deliverance to be done where you reside or any other place you prefer. I am neither saying the pastor is legit nor he is scam.
The pastor reaction whether genuine or not will determine your next course of action.

Note: Don't sound or seem you don't trust the pastor or you are suspecting him because if the man was capable of seeing your girlfriend's past, then he may be capable of doing anything to proof he was right even if it means going extra mile.
After all, you guys went to him in the first place, he didn't come to you. If he is a spiritualist, he has an edge over you guys... Just hope he isn't.
