POSITION TITLE - Business Development Manager
DEPARTMENT - Commercial
UNIT - Commercial
REPORTS TO - Commercial Manager
WORK LOCATION - Lagos, Nigeria

ROLE SUMMARY
Beacon Power Services is an Energy Management Company on the forefront of developing energy management software and providing energy analytics in Nigeria.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to generate and develop leads towards the growth of the company’s portfolio. Candidates should have the right blend of analytical talent and business knowhow. Successful applicants should be team players who understand how to identify a new market opportunity and meet revenue targets. We are especially looking for someone with great communication and presentation skills, as you will be expected to interact with executives and clients on a daily basis. Previous experience in a Sales or Business Development role in a solar or software company is an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify new market opportunities via market research and initiate contact.
• Generate and qualify new sales leads.
• Schedule meetings and give sales presentations to prospective clients.
• Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
• Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects.
• Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and clients.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
• Meet and/or exceed quotas.
• Answering client questions about products, prices and availability.
• Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort.
• Working closely with operations and customer support to ensure customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATION
• 3 - 5 years experience in Sales, Business Development or related role.
• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field.
• Previous experience in a Sales or Business Development role in a Solar or Software company is an advantage.
• Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
• Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.

• Great Attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Self starter with ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and fast changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel upon request.
