You are already declaring yourself holier than others. I have seen how holy you are. St Holinweje.
Wrong! I am holier than you! undecided

Only Catholics will feel enraged at this picture, and I'm sure you're one. Not all Christians worship or use the cross in their worship to God.

Infact, some Christians view the cross or the use of images as IDOLATRY. What the lady carried has NOTHING to do with Jesus Christ or his blood sacrifice.

It only seems like blasphemy to you because you have continued to use carved images from wood, stone and clay as a physical representative or a channel to worship God

In as much as your church does not make use of images. You have not answered my question which is what is the significance of the cross in Christianity? Make research don't just rely on the doctrine of your pastor. I don't want to argue about churches but if you believed that Christ Jesus died on the cross you should know the symbol of cross in Christianity.

Muslims hold themselves to the standard of a man called Mohammed who allows them to attack others in the name of their Allah. undecided

Christians on the other hand are called to Live their very lives in submission and obedience to God's Law and Truth, Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant, in the Kingdom of God that stipulates that those who belong to Jesus Christ neither defend themselves - Matthew 5 vs 38 - 42 - or take offense in His name - Matthew 5 vs 21 - 22. So by what standard do you take offense here? undecided

I am taking offense by you lying against the teaching of Islam. By supporting this woman you are a disgrace to Islam honestly, because Islam teaches religious tolerance, it even recognize Jesus Christ Issa and his Mother Mary. Why then will you a follower of Islam support someone who goes against the teaching of Muhammad.

You want to argue the human angle to things but seem unwilling to accept all of it now, aren't you. undecided

You can't go around imposing your views and ideals on others no matter how 'right' it may seem ... that is the long and short of this. If you feel disrespected yet no crime has been committed, you dust your sandals and move on. undecided

It's a crime, oh you don't even know.
The Customary system prohibits blasphemy by section 204 of Nigeria's Criminal Code. Section 204 is entitled "Insult to religion". The section states:

Any person who does an act which any class of persons consider as a public insult on their religion, with the intention that they should consider the act such an insult, and any person who does an unlawful act with the knowledge that any class of persons will consider it such an insult, is guilty of a misdemeanour, and is liable to imprisonment for two years

Nigerian code... well. To claim blasphemy by even Nigerian law, you first need to prove it, right? undecided

First, I don't live by standards of Mohammed or Islam and I don't know what or why an Islamic would chose to be riled up by the image here. undecided

There is nothing of Jesus Christ in the image. If the Islamic want to go bonkers over the picture for the sake of Mohamed then that is on them. These people go bonkers over caricatures as well. Thankfully, the law punishes every act of violence perpetrated by them regardless of reason. undecided

The woman is being ridiculed for carrying an idol that has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ or what He called His followers for. undecided

Those of you deperate to make this about God are instead the ones who ridicule God's name. undecided
Briliant! smiley

You're the first person here that has made loads of sense to me
here!

How does the image of a white-skinned man on a crucifix which is actually a shameful instrument of public execution for criminals in
the Roman Empire, equate to spiritual evolvement or salvation? The making of the cross sign
and the display of crucifixes are man-made concepts or dogma.

The responses I just read from a lot of Christians here is a deep case of mental and religious psychosis. These Christian folks have the ability to do harm to others and hide under religion and false dogma to justify evil. SMH.

NOTE:
Over 1000 years ago it was the image of a LAMB (and NOT a white human being) that was affixed
to a cross (or crucifix) by the early
religion that evolved before the
Martin Luther and Catholic church schisms.

By just simply taking an interest in the history of how orthodox
religions evolved, and comparative religion, many of those males and females calling for a return of the crusader years of war, and the Old Testament rules would have
known better and extricated
themselves from the dogma
of clergy men!

All the best.

You see Christians are just the same as their Muslim counterparts
I bet you if this situation involving Islam, they would have called Muslims terrorists, killers and all that because of the way they replied but this has proven that they are just different sides of the same coin

Ps. I am not religious in any way form or fashion
Well said!
