Aro Okigbo: Sorry o but which word were you going to exchange before? Didn't you watch the news when MEND came out to claim responsibility a day after Jonathan said they were not responsible? Kidnapping for money is not a crime too right? |

success4:thanks honeric01: Aro Okigbo: Someone had said "Niaraland is not the real Nigeria". We (Nigerian masses) have already had enough (abuse of our general sense) from our ABUJA POLITICIANS with all those billions that always get missing or misappropriated. |
Re: Buhari Wants Decisive Action Against Terrorism by BetaThings: 8:49pm On Jun 18, 2011 |
Aro Okigbo:Of course not. In the real Nigeria, crime is investigated and based on evidence, conviction is secured On Nairaland, conviction is pleaded for based on tribal origin |

Joseph Jon:Who are you? Have you read the wikileaks report on Danbazau and the support he gave to Jonathan to become Ag President Danbazau was chief of Army staff when the head of Boko Haram was arrested by the Nigerian Army during Yaradua's time The Army handed over the Boko Haram leader to the Nigerian Police led by Okiro The police killed the man in their custody Who should be blamed? the southerner who ensured that we did not get an opportunity to got more info from Boko Haram or the Northerner whose force (Army) that arrested the man? |

@greatoes,u just hit the nail on the head.some people think dat because they have access to internet is enough to come nd say rubbish,if Buhari didn't say a word, de same people will condemn him for not saying anything and wen he says something, they will accuse him of what he knows nothing about.its not compulsory to comment on a post.u can just move on if u don't have anything to say. |

Who said GEJ does not have the political will to quell Boko Haram? He has all it takes to bring the situation under control but he is making sluggish consultations which to me is giving the sinister group the time to build up. My advise to him is that he should go ahead and arrest whomever he thinks is a security threat in this country and heaven will not fall.No body has monopoly to shedding and spilling of blood in this country. I fail to understand why boko haram just re-surfaced to the scene immediately it was clear GEJ is winning the elections. Since after the elections it has been harvest of bombardment every corner of Nigeria. I think the unity of this nation is under grave threats and the onerous call to defend and maintain the unity of this nation should not be applied when it involve the south easterners. What is the Nigerian army doing? The police is a weak organization and i fear the provision of APC personnel won't help the situation. Let Nigeria army intervern and stop this evil menace before Nigeria is destroyed by this Bokos and Harams. Our policemen are only good in taken 50 Naira on the roads of this country. Another place where our police performs well is in the area of killing innocent people in Onitsha, Enugu,Owerri and APO areas of Abudja. |

@ greateros 190 u r one guy i so much like on nairaland but this your silly comment just eroded all the respect i have for you. Pls make out time to know more about the person of Buhari. He is the only internationally recognized general in the Nigerian Army. He is the only General from Nigeria the united states army, British army and the Russian army recognize as a full star general in west africa. He is the only ex-Nigerian leader without a foreign bank account or investment and mansions in Abuja or elsewhere, i mean not a single house in Abuja talk less of a mansion. He is the only leader in West Africa certified by Transparency international as not corrupt! He quashed the most notorious fanatical religious group ever in Nigeria - Boko haram is a child's play compare to the maitatsine of the 80s. With people like Buhari in government, this poo called boko haram, mend or whatever, would not have happened. PLEASE DON'T EVER IN YOUR LIFE WRITE ANY INSULTING STATEMENT ON HIS PERSON OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN! I MEAN IT. I advice you to stick to romance section. politics is too high for you to understand. Thanks. He's also the only eDiot to go air and make inflammatory remarks before election should he lose, sore loser! |

@BetaThings Buhari and his agents emphatically said they will make Nigeria ungovernable for Goodluck Jonathan in his post election remarks. Him and pure breed maitatsine Tunde Bakare should be CCTVed. Everything buhari said has been re-echoed by boko haram. http://emmanuelfabz..com/2011/04/post-election-protest-fawehinmi-berates.html http://www.saharareporters.com/article/buhari-and-post-election-violence |

bidemi12: Such a baby-thinker, so you know you live in an unlawful country, yet you are accusing someone who hasn't been found guilty of an offense? i ask you again, Is Buhari also the head of MEND and is Buhari also responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people in Jos for a while now? I don't reason like a religious and sentimental zombies we have roaming the streets of Nigeria, i am one of the few with normal reasoning faculty still intact. Maybe you should blame Buhari too for the high kerosene price and the unstable power supply. You can keep blaming Buhari while the crisis and killings continue without your toothless president ever acting. Oh i remember, he is good at telling us to go pray so the bombers can come and repent! Zombies |

Honestly,I do wonder at times the psychology and mental state of people who are so quick to abuse other posters for holding an opinion.I mean it's a bit understandable if the target of the abuse is an office holder, then one may reason that the abuser is frustrated by whatever the office holder may be doing wrongly(not that it would change anything anyway as the office holder may not even read the post),but to quickly jump on the back of fellow posters and begin to abuse them actually exposes the one doing the abuse as uncivilised and crude. Anyhowly, abuse na water |

Why did Buhari send Soldiers to crush the Maitatsine Islamic militants in Gongola in 1984 if he is Islamic zealot and Jihadist? most people seem to forget that buhari actually As Head of State, Buhari combated religious extremism; in 1984, he successfully quenched the Maitatsine in the north; unlike the PDP failure to quench Boko Haram; this is a teatament to the fact that Buhari can address the security situation in this country better thanthe PDP. Widespread dissatisfaction became apparent with the Maitatsine, or Yan Tatsine (followers of the Maitatsine), a quasi-Muslim fringe group that who sparked religious riots in Kano in 1980, and Kaduna, and Maiduguri in 1982 after police tried to control this activities. The disturbance in Kano alone resulted in the deaths of 4,177 people between December 18 and 29, 1980, In addition, a fringe Islamic cult, known as the Maitatsine, started in the late 1970s and operated throughout the 1980s, springing up in Kano around a mystical leader (since deceased) from Cameroon who claimed to have had divine revelations superseding those of the Prophet. The cult had its own mosques and preached a doctrine antagonistic to established Islamic and societal leadership. Its main appeal was to marginal and poverty-stricken urban in-migrants, whose rejection by the more established urban groups fostered this religious opposition. These disaffected adherents ultimately lashed out at the more traditional mosques and congregations, resulting in violent outbreaks in several cities of the north. |

The boko haram crisis is one that is giving sleepless night to well meaning nigerians.this suicide attack is the first recorded in nigeria and i dont think it would be the last.buhari is right in calling for a more affirmative action in that regard.i believe the SSS would have enough information about the boko haram and am sure if it was generalissimo obasanjo, they would have been razed to the ground by now.now that boko haram has send its people to al shabab for training, meaning they have created a working partnership which links to al qeeda, they are going to be more violent in their approach.the SSS really needs to step on the gas and fish them out.this task is more of finding their leaders first.even though the SEAL6 killed osama, the CIA found him first.there needs to be better coordination between the security agencies so as to prevent a prevalence of terrorism like is present in somalia, pakistan etc.president jonathan needs to deal decisively with this crisis as this will be one of the most defining tasks of his presidency.he has to demonstrate the willingness to act,to step on powerful toes if need be.obam hasnt been able to fulfill most of his campaign promises, but if osm had been killed before the midterm elections, democrats would definitely have fared.my fingers are crossed |
