Why is the Gospel in Nigeria today all about prosperity?
Back then Jesus took his disciples and tutored them, but today you hardly see that in church.
I gave my life to Christ, no one to teach me about the kingdom, about prayer, about fasting and lots more.
They all claim they are too busy.

The sake teachings Jesus Christ taught to His disciples are written for you to learn in scripture beginning with the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Why do you think you need any human to spoonfeed you that which God has made available to even you through scripture?

Why not take responsibility for your life with Jesus Christ and actually begin doing as He commands,
and then boldly call on Him to answer you then?

I'm new to Christianity and I mean not religion shit.
And I truly want to fulfill my Destiny why God created me.
But the more I truly the more confused I get, the more I pray the more confused I get things gets more difficult.
I see people online preaching about advantages of prayer eg, it's a means of communication with God.
But my major question is quite strange.
Why does God remain silent whenever i pray?
Job to do, business to start, skill to learn, school to go, how to live my life, how to know my destiny, He seems so silent.
Please am i praying amis or doing something wrong, I don't want to waste my life and time.

God does not answer your prayers because your life is not being lived in accordance to His New Covenant agreement and contract, Jesus Christ. You cannot expect to reap of the rewards of God's Covenant when you reject the terms and conditions of it, this by refusing to obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ.

If you sign on to God's Contract, Jesus Christ, you are expected to live your life in continuous submission to and obedience of the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. This is the only way to reap the benefits of said Contract - the only way.

You can pray from today till you are blue in the face, but if you don't submit and do as God has commanded of us through Jesus Christ, you will not obtain anything from God. So, if you want any of what Jesus Christ declared, then begin now to submit to life and expectations to Jesus Christ , choosing to obey Him every moment of every day of the rest of your life.

Here's the kicker here. God doesn't answer the prayers of all those other people out there who claim to be of God but live their life according to their own terms either. It may seem that He does, and certainly most of them would lead you to believe that as well, but they don't realize that by their claim, they make God a liar. They declare Jesus Christ and God unworthy and untrustworthy since by their claim God is willing to go back on His own Word to please them.

God showers His mercy regularly on human kind , on even the unbelievers, the wicked and the ungrateful. These mercies are what ensures people don't all exist in perpetual misery and suffering . Mistaken his mercies for answers to prayers is what many so-called Christians do, ignoring that fact that those very same mercies are also enjoyed by unbelievers and even the wicked among men.

Okay can you share with me the story of your being born again?. The specific moment it happened?
How did you give your life to CHRIST? Why?

Things are going to get even more difficult than this in the world.
But GOD assures us that it is those who believe in HIM till the end, that will inherit the crown.

Whether we have food to eat or not, we follow GOD.
You need to choose wisely.

Shedrach Meshach and Abednego, made up their mind not to bow to pressure.
They believed GOD could save them from the difficult situation
Read Daniel Chapter from Chapter 3 for full story.

But they also made up their mind, that if GOD will not save them from the fire, they still will not bow to the image.

If the legitimate work you are doing now is not yeilding returns, tell GOD, to guide you to a better work.
Then trust HIM and look for something more profitable to do.

If you keep waiting to hear a voice from Heaven, then it means you don't trust that GOD will lead you to a better source of livelihood.

GOD talks to HIS people by HIS Word.
If you have not developed the habit of reading GOD's Word and craving it every moment like a new born babe, you will never know when GOD speaks to you.

When GOD speaks, your whole being hears HIM. Not your ears

You must develop a relationship with GOD first.

If you are not GOD's child, you will never recognize HIS voice because HE speaks all the time to HIS children.
But if that is why you joined Christianity, just to hear GOD's voice, then you may have missed the point.

You are to love The LORD your GOD whether in good it bad times.

One can deceive men that they are Christians but no one can deceive GOD.

You left an illegitimate job to find something good with your hands.

GOD has a Word for you.
HE says you should read Psalm 25 everytime and you will see you life change.

I would suggest you read it when you wake up, and also in the afternoon and in the evening before you sleep.

If you don't understand King James Bible, try to use the New King James version instead or the New Living Translation version instead.

Your question assumed you have been to all churches in Nigeria and have examined all preacher of the gospel in Nigeria. I doubt your premise is correct. I can assure you there are more churches that focus on God's will on earth a d they are around you.

There are more preaching the gospel than prosperity. You may need to get around the right folks to know that.

Find this yourself.
Avoid using what you complain about to decide the church you grow with. For example choosing a chur h because of its affluence and natural prosperity already defeated your aim. Choosing a church because it's around you also is a defeat. You must find the right balance which must be around

35% teaching of God's word with a focus on Christ not man
30% prayer
30% evangelism
5% other important things

This should be a good mix.

Then the bible became interesting, my lost for women and love for money died, masturbation appetite died and lots more
But truth be told lots of women suddenly wanted to have sex with me and it came to my notice that they were all sent to make me fall back to sin.
I stopped my illegitimate ways of making money.
(I'm 22+ ,no skills)
Currently learning one.
Christianity is fun tho, but the fact I've been praying no response from God.
You should understand my feelings, it feels bad tho.

I wonder why God choose to be silent tho.
I basically cut off from many of my friends but somehow the devil keeps bringing them into my life.
