In Nigeria some people fails to understand that justice is for sale, and the earlier they do the needful the better. Some kind of bullshit can only happens in Nigeria. Justice is sold to the highest bidder The more you think you can see the less you actually see 1 Like |

NaijaMutant: Read again, the reason was clearly stated thus “ Relying on Order 8 Rules 16 of the Supreme Court’s Rules, Justice Abubakar, in the lead judgment, held that the apex court has the power to set aside its decision in certain circumstances, like any other court. He added that such circumstances include where there is any reason to do so, such as where any of the parties obtained judgment by fraud, default or deceit; where such a decision is a nullity or where it is obvious that the court was misled into giving a decision.” 8 Likes |

If all what the supreme court judge is saying is nothing but the truth then do the needful. If the Registra of the court is still in his office till date then the judges must have Shaked someone's hand. This judgement must have been bought by someone 1 Like |

fergie0o1: Innoson doesn't understand the game he is playing, this matter is something that should have been settled over drinks at ikoyi club (Dangote and BUA get problem, an northern elders solve the problem). Now it's a battle of political clout, GTB will beat him hands down in this battle, the judgement and narrative of this case will change in favour of GTB and people will shout, unfair, zoo, injustice etc. We simply don't understand how businesses are run in Nigeria, you need friends, powerful friends and very powerful friends. Oga Allen of air peace has grasped the whole concept and is cashing out. 6 Likes |

"Justice Abubakar, in the lead judgment, held that the apex court has the power to set aside its decision in certain circumstances, like any other court." Supreme Court couldn't set aside mistake in the Case of Hope Uzodinma and Emeka Ihedioha. Is Supreme Court trying to be 2 faced that at a point, it is has the power and at another point, it lack the power? I am a student any way. |

LibertyRep: Read the post before commenting. It's obvious that you didn't read the details. The Supreme Court realised that the initial judgement given on the matter was based on deceit which was as a result of in-house issue with the Court registry. Tell me if it is right to punish someone unjustly bacause of an in-house issue that didn't involve the person in question. This is the case in GTB vs Innoson. They also quoted from the Law where it is possible for initial judgmeent to be set aside. 6 Likes |

The headline is misleading. GTBank hasn't won the case yet just won the right to appeal the Supreme Court ruling that struck out their case last year. As it stands, the case will now be revisited and the final judgment pronounced. 6 Likes |
