The thing about doing business in Nigeria is that government can wake up one day and institute a policy and all your labor is crippled. Chinmark is a brand with verifiable investments in and outside Nigeria. See some details. www.chinmarkhospitality.com www.chinmarkgroup.com The business is just going through a phase that most businesses go while faced with such disclaimer as orchestrated by SEC. Even banks face same issue when there is a rumour of financial distress and then panic withdrawal starts and also bad press. This business will withstand the storm, grow and will surprise a lot of people. There is definitely More to come
Mr. Bigpicture, sice you claimed that Chinmark is real, can you name or identify the so called real physical investment that company has engaged in. Like where is the houses - city located, at which city do they offer the "uber" service, where and to whom have they given loans to? Or else you are hired agent and need to be stoned - electronically and in person.
|

On the topic of this threat, I think lack of sound financial literacy plays bigger role in making people invest in all these type of business rather than greed as most people think. Because of financial illiteracy, most people don't ask or don't know how to ask some intelligent questions before investing their hard earned money with any company and they don't know how to do proper research on the company to know the exact business they do, the profit they make, how realistic or sustainable is the interest they claim to be paying based on the nature of their business. To me the MOST SECURE investment in Nigeria today seems to be Federal Government bonds and SEC regulated Money Market Mutual Funds. Every other investment comes with some risk and you have to invest only what you can afford to lose after doing thorough research on the reliability and sustainability of the investment |

Next on the line is Omega Pro. The investment climate poses significant risks but some are either too good to be true or filled with loopholes and unrealistic/false claims. While some investors may look "senseless" given the rate they fall for these schemes, we also have to realize that nothing is guaranteed in this life. Many are yet to realize that if their bank suddenly packs up due to mismanagement, the highest sum they will ever get from NDIC in return for their savings is 500k after several months of waiting. Whether your savings is 5 million or 10 million with GTB or Access, NDIC would not pay a kobo over 500k if they ever fold up. Na court go settle the rest. While the likelihood that a CBN licensed bank would fold up is low given re/capitalization efforts, anything is possible! 2 Likes

When will these "investors" get brain. Their greed is not allowing them to think straight. So, with all the stories of different Ponzi schemes collapsing right, left, and centre these people are still wasting their hard-earned money. adonainana: I repeat no offline business can give you that with $1000 capital. Tell me any offline business you can start with 600K and make up to 85M in a year. I'm waiting. Those people you mentioned what's their profit margin?. For them to meet up cement wholesalers involve in re-bagging. You clearly ruled out online business that's why I responded. I have experienced both online and offline business and I will fucking choice online every fucking time. Dangote can't survive in a free market where there's no political influence determining who sells what. Dangote is a bad example of an entrepreneur. Because an average person will never have such influence. |

Poopypants: In life you have to take a risk, we all know things are not easy in nigeria, and we all know nothing last forever. When you get a reasonable return on your investment and your capital, from there onwards you start investing in short term investments. We all know there are several uncertainty in the investment market. |

Johnrake69: And what happens when your trailer doesn’t fall for road nko and gets to its destination What happened to the thousands of traders who take thier product by air or sea or land to sell at different stages of commerce. How come they are still in business Anyway it’s best you just focus on your online business and keep buying your crypto coins or affiliate marketing like you people call it these days |
