My dog is down with Parvo virus as confirmed by the Vet Doc handling the treatment, it's day 6 and no much improvement, looking so skinny now due to diarrhea & vomiting water/mucus. His age is 5 months+, loosing too much fluid & I am scared he may experience shock despite placing him on drips.
Pics attached was taken on the 3rd day of treatment.
Please, any advise that can help with recovery?

All treatment has been through drips as you can see in the pics, as he refused any medication through the mouth.

Okay let me start from here...
There are many ways in handling parvovirus cases in dogs.... First u need to know the extent at which the dog poo is whether brownish diarrhea or bloody diarrhea....
Once it is a bloody diarrhea it is a 50-50 chances of survival for the dog. Although treatment to be used are

Iv filagil metronidazole

Cipro floxacin iv

Ceftriaxone

Vitamin b complex

Normal saline.

With these have been able to handle and treat many parvo cases in dogs and they survive but not by my power but God grace. At least out of 6 cases only one died of it.

The diarrhea is reducing, and showed signs of getting better this evening.
I do hope to see better signs tomorrow.

If the Diarrhea is reddying, get your dog Diastop also, you may also need to give it antibiotics (I used the purple and black for mine), in order to ensure bacteria do not infest the internal wounds. You can also consider giving it zinc, to help the stomach heal.

When your dog starts getting better, give him multivatimin and try feeding him boiled rice (without salt) and chicken (without salt and Maggi). It does two things, make the food attractive for him to eat and reduce the reoccurrence of vomitting.

Also, very important, clean your immediate environment and where he stays with hypo, so he doesn't get reinfected while recovering.

That's what I used for this stubborn when his own started.

Omo!!!!! On top one dog? Because of parvo? The dog is already a bag of antibiotics.
U quacks are not help us the vet at all, the doctor didn't even use up to that amount of antibiotics, yt there is recovery. Pls stop misusing antibiotics.
