Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Founder and head pastor of the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), has announced the appointment of his first son, Tobi Ashimolowo, as resident pastor of KICC in London.

He disclosed this on Sunday, stating that his son and wife are trying to retire him as his wife, Yemisi Ashimolowo will remain as the resident pastor one and Tobi, as resident pastor two.

The cleric said, “In a very major way from this morning, we will no longer have one resident pastor. Yemisi has always been our resident pastor, so she will be resident pastor 1.

“Our new resident pastor is Pastor Tobi Ashimolowo. So, he is our resident pastor 2, he has to take some serious responsibility from now on. These guys are retiring their father.”

Tobi Ashimolowo is the the Founder and CEO of the Vault, a high-end store for mens wear and accessories. He is also married to Toyin Omotayo who is a Lawyer.

Well he is the founder of his church and am sure his son went to theology school so he is qualified..so I see nothing wrong if his son and wife is to continue from where he stopped.. though am not a Christian so I don't know if that's not the Christian way..but as a Muslim, if u lead a group of people, before ur death, u can name your son your khalifah if he is qualified and learned so after u pass on, he would take over from where you stopped
