Toyota Camry 2011 AC Issue by Segunod(m): 8:11am On Jan 24, 2022
I got this car directly from the US myself and I noticed the AC only works perfectly in the morning til noon. Anytime from noon, it will only pick for few seconds and stop and will pick again for few seconds and stop. The AC is practically useless from noon to evening. I was told it's the compressor but I want to be really sure before replacing the compressor.

Pls if you have experience this before, kindly share the solution.. Thanks

You already get the answer by telling you to change the compressor and even the condenser too, for ultimate and peck performance

Venza uses a 2.7l i4 or a 3.5l V6.
Also never start replacing anything, first you need an ac expert with all working tool, to inspect what the issue is, it could be a minor low refrigerant or compressor need oil, so best bet seek for gazzuzz advice or make out time and visit his workshop.

Are you an AC technician?

Have you experienced same issues in the past?

@OP if you start tampering with the factory AC of that car, your AC will never remain the same again, before you know you will be running a manual compressor and some other weird connection.

Look for a competent AC technician to help you check it.

Thanks

start with simple things. Check the cabin filter in the glove compartment first. Then use a good scanner to check if the pressure sensor is working well.

Point to note, that engine isn't meant for a Venza. A Venza uses a different engine which displaces 2.7l, while the camry displaces 2.5l.

That said, have a competent technician check the car and hook it up to a vacuum pressure gauge to tell what's going on. I may be forced to believe your expansion valve is having an issue.

Abeg take it easy with this filter and spanner story abeg....

His description is clear.
- too much refrigerant
- too little refrigerant
- a failing compressor (low pumping)

It's a camry, let's other come and tinker with it.

Valid advice. Start with the small things.... A dirty air filter can make the compressor trip intermittently.

I have slightly different issue. Mine is that when I'm on top speed even if the weather is hot, the AC will be chilling but once I enter little traffic it won't blow cool again. What could be the issue pls

could be fan, dirty condenser and radiator or compressor. Was any work done recently? First check should be the fan.
