The Executive Director, Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution,(CHRCR), Idris Miliki has lambasted Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State for his alleged poor performance in the last six years in office.

Miliki, while speaking on Bello’s sixth year anniversary in office, on Thursday, alleged that the present administration since inception six years ago, have collected billions but could not build or commission one bedroom flat.

The activist who cited several deficiencies in Governor Bello’s administration ranging from staff verifications, demolition of roundabouts, illegal composition of Sole Administrators in the 21 LGAs of the state for almost four years, “kangaro Local Government elections, collection of Bailout and Paris club refund, said the government has nothing substantial to show for tho huge resource inflow into Kogi State except the large number of vehicles purchased at random without due process and reference to the Appropriation Act.

He lamented that despite the internally generated revenue and the monthly statutory allocation from the Federal Government, Governor Bello is yet to build and commission projects across the state, six years on.

Explaining further on the alleged poor governance of Governor Bello, Miliki expressed worrise that several projects inherited by the government of Yahaya Bello were not completed or commissioned, talk-more of putting them into use.

He said, ” Statutory allocations from the federal government to Local Government councils has not been properly managed and accounted for under this administration. Within six(6) years of this government, three Speakers have emerged, which have never been the case in the history of the state in its 30 years of existence.

“The state has witnessed and continues to witness security challenges under the current administration. This ranges from kidnappings, armed robbery, jail breaks and other vices dangerous to human existence.

He called on the citizens of Kogi State not to fold their arm and watch a government that was democratically put in place, continue to violate the rights of her citizens, engage in impunity through untimely and percentage payment of salaries to its workers.
Two and half years that the minimum wage bill was signed into Law and several other states have commence payments and adjustment, the Kogi State Government and Governor has refused deliberately to conclude the arrangement and commence payment. We call on the Kogi State Workers to Unite and break the chain of oppression by this government” he added.

He is still far better than Ortom and Ikpeazu.

But why are all Nigerian administrators like this? How can you be a governor for donkey years in the midst of all these poverty ravaged people, yet you can't lift a finger to build something. And all of them are like that.. Are these governors members of a sadistic cult group that derives joy in seeing people suffer?

At least Orton fight killer herdsmen, this one invited them and gave them endless land. All the kidnapping you hear between Lokoja and kabba and okene is by the fulanis and any traditional ruler that dare open mouth against Fulani will see pepper from Bello in matter of seconds. All these is on top the severe suffering he visited on the state.
But someone outside kogi will wonder how is this guy then running for higher office? Answer is that Bello by some unfortunate twist in his past I'm sure believes religiously in propaganda, you can see he even believes you can actually build infrastructure in the air and citizens will believe it to be true. Propaganda made him second choice in APC primary and the moronity of charlatans like Dino helped him take the seat from the rightful owner who is Faleke, so Bello personally believes propaganda can achieve anything and that it can make him president.

Bello is actually the worst person to have ever been governor in the history of Nigeria. If Nigeria was not a failed Somalia people like him should be at best a small ward counselor. This is why I left Nigeria many years ago

I laugh in Swahili when I read in another thread that Bello is a praising himself that he has fulfilled his election mandate.

Yeye bello is the worst performing governor, i have seen. Kogi state has no good roads, hospitals and basic armenities. Worst of all the people are ackward and myopic in thinking, expecially the tribe whose aphabeth begin with d letter E. Gosh! i haven't see humans like them before.
