The All Progressives Congress (APC) says Anambra State Governor , Peter Obi, is threatening the unity of the country by playing politics with the recent “deportation” of some destitutes from Lagos to Onitsha.

“We are not saying Governor Obi has no right to play politics, but he must fight clean and avoid any action that could hurt, not just the enduring harmony between the Igbo and the Yoruba, but also the unity of the country,” National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Lai Mohammed, said in a statement.

According to the APC, Mr Obi has “over-dramatised” the issue to gain political points in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra.

“Resorting to primordial sentiments, anytime election is approaching, is Governor Obi’s modus operandi. He did it just before the 2009 election, when he labelled the ACN, under which Dr. Chris Ngige contested, as a Yoruba party, and he is going down the same path now. This is all about the November 2013 election.

Peter Obi can never become President

of course, ACN then was a yoruba party like APGA today is an Igbo party. Peter Obi was absolutely right and theres no bigotry here. They became a National party when they merged with CPC , APGA and the rest.



Any yoruba man that says APGA is an Igbo party is not and can never be equated as a bigot.

President is not like state governor.
A President must not have been indicated with Bigotry or Nepotism.
