Sent a paid email yesterday and finally got a decision today. Glad to get my passport back at least so I can plan my holiday.
I will send in a complaint later when I get back since I never applied or got refused a visa on the 22/01/2024 to start with.

Here is what the refusal says:

REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for

visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-
rules), I have considered:

• your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
• your immigration history
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V because:

You were recently refused a visa in the same category as this application on 22/01/2024. I
am not satisfied that you have adequately addressed any of the concerns detailed in the
Notice of Refusal that was issued to you. When an application is refused, the applicant is
invited to reapply if their personal circumstances change significantly between now and the
next application; or they provide compelling new documents with the next application. I have
considered the evidence contained in your application. However, I am satisfied that your
personal circumstance has not changed, and although you have submitted extra documents,
I do not consider that it provides any further compelling evidence in support of your
application.

All of this means that, on the balance of probabilities, I am not satisfied that you have
accurately presented your circumstances or intentions in wishing to visit the UK now. I am not
satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor or that you intend to leave the UK
on completion of your visit. Paragraph V 4.2 (a) (c) of the Immigration Rules.

Sorry about this. I wonder what went wrong?

Thank you so much for all your help , you are really a treasure.

I have no idea either + I never applied or got refused on the quoted date. The one I had from 2023, I clearly addressed in the cover letter backed with evidence for each line item in the refusal. I plan to send in a Pre action protocol next week challenging the decision as it was made on false evidence or allegations in direct contravention of: UK Visas and Immigration Entry Clearance Basics, ECB10.5 Burden of proof as published on the 28 November 2013.

Let’s see if that rattles the box or not.

I’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Good morning everyone,
I am currently a student here in the UK. Our daughter is in Nigeria and yet to join. I would like to know when could be the least time she can join us in order to be eligible to apply for Post study work Visa. Could it be less than 6 months to the end of my student Visa? Its bn hard to find this information on the gov.uk website.
Thanks.

Congratulations!

Permit me to ask some questions as a form of guide: Was this your 3rd or 4th UK Visa? Any other valid visa in your passport? How much was your total POF (both savings and salary accounts)? How much for the visa application fee?

Congratulations once more!!

Hello house,
Please I need some clarification/advice. I got a job with the NHS and I’ve gotten my COS. My parents have contributed some funds for me to help with the move. I’ll be using my bank statement which shows this amount entering my account and staying there for 28 days. I plan to use this account and these funds in it for my POF when I apply for my work visa next week. Do I need to explain this money? Prior to this payment the account didn’t have much and I barely used it. Help please.

Omo that's how i got this life-changing email yesterday. Nairaland and this video practically changed my life. About two months ago, I saw a link to this video about the UK Global Talent tier one visa on Nairaland. I took my time to watch it and long story short, I received my endorsement for the visa yesterday morning, despite my very little experience in tech. All you need is some experience working in a tech startup, and you can even plan towards it if you're not in tech at the moment.

Here the video link and it has the direct application links etc in its description as well

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exE7t3wHgIk

I love Naija but it's goodbye for now, let me go get my life in other, even though I'll visit from time to time. If you're in tech and applying, feel free to drop any qestions, after watching this video and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge as my goodwill

Welcome to the new dispensation! Just can't keep calm mehn!!

Who contributed? Both parents, one parent? Was it a joint bank account or separate contributions from their account?

Whatever the case the guidelines below would apply.

Since a large sum of money went in, it might do good for your parent(s) to write a letter stating they gifted you xyz amount towards processing your visa and relocation expense.

In the letter let them state transfer of xyz from their account in ABC bank . Attach proof of birth certificate with evidence they're your folks.

They already have made a mistake if what they quoted is not your application. You should be able to get the visa on this technicality. You just need to make contact with the right office.

Recent experience at TLS Ikeja contact center for UK Visa

Hi all,

So I recently visited the TLS center at ikeja for my biometrics and I kid you not I spent about 20mins in total. It was a breeze in and out.

People no dey go Youkay again o. Lol. There was no crowd at all. As I got to the gate, under 2 minutes, they checked my appointment confirmation and let me in.
Then another lady checked all my docs, under 2 minutes again I was ushered into the main building. Spent about 10 mins on the queue where they checked my docs and gave me the black bag to proceed for biometrics.

At biometrics I spent another 7mins and I was done.

Now this takes me to my main question; If there's no crowd for visa, why can't people see close appointment dates? When I checked, the earliest datei saw was 10 days ahead.

Im wondering do they intentionally block out dates so one can pay for flexi (with flexi you pay about 90k to come on for any appointment at any time).

Because if no one is traveling people should be able to see close dates to book

This process could take up to 8 months to resolve. If you are patient enough you can try, else you can reapply addressing this.

Hello everyone, I applied for a two week visit visa for my mum and niece who lives with her. Also fully sponsored them.
My mum's visa was approved while my niece's was denied with the refusal letter attached within.
I'd appreciate your ideas on how best to address this. They were supposed to stay with my sister and her husband for the duration of their stay.
Can the accomodation plans be changed?

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by LadyCaplin: 6:24pm On May 22
Based on my review of the refusal letter: Age of your niece, insufficient evidence as it relates to her welfare whilst in the UK and the validity of the sponsor/family inviting her.

How old is she?

Sorry about the refusal.
