I don't think Yoruba, in general hate Igbo more than they hate themselves and other tribes in Nigeria, but here is what I observed 1)ln General, they are more greedy than other Southerners, when it comes to political power, yet, selectively, compared to other Southerners they have the most honest kind of humans I've ever come across. 2) ln general, they are more tribalistic than other Southerners, but selectively, you find the most detribalised set of humans, you'll ever come across. 3)ln general, they are the most hypocritical set in southern Nigeria, but selectively, you find the most broadest perspective to issue amongst them. In conclusion, you'll have to deal with each Yoruba you come across separately, to determine whether you'll trust or not, don't let down your guard amongst them, the good amongst them are extremely good , the bad amongst them can go to any length, and since they live in the same location as the good ones, they have learnt how to appear as if they meant well, unlike other Southerners that easily shows you their kindness, hatred, and nonchalance, this Yoruba group can hide whatever they feel about you, and show you the opposite, their back stabbing is not only limited to other tribes but is prevalent even amongst themselves, this brings us to four. 4) ln general, the tragedy is that, just as in other tribes in Nigeria, the bad ones are more in number, both in traditional, and political power. |
