The 2019 presidential election is long past and the next presidential election will take place in February next year 2023.
It is highly suspicious that at this time is when the issue of nullification of Buhari as president and appeal of Atiku to be made president is being brought up with great commotion.
(See the link belowsmiley
https://www.nairaland.com/6979176/apc-buhari-seek-court-dismissal

Why is the APC and Buhari seeking the court to dismiss the appeal to swear in Atiku when Buhari has less than 12 months to go?

It is possible that Buhari and the Northern cabal would want this appeal to be upheld. This appeal may continue to be adjourned until late this year or January next year when Buhari's final tenure would be finishing.
(See the link belowsmiley
https://www.nairaland.com/6979797/court-adjourns-appeal-nullify-buharis

Atiku would be sworn in as President because he won the appeal.
After his first term as President, he would still be eligible under the law to contest for another term as President.
His VP (Peter Obi) might be impeached in his first term (first or second year) as VP to Atiku. Why? Because Nigeria presently is unfortunately not willing to have an Igbo man as President or VP.

If Peter Obi is impeached in his first term as VP to Atiku, his possible replacement would be Rotimi Amaechi.
The South East will not get close to the top 5 political positions in this country and they won't be able to complain. Why?
Because Ohanaeze has already recognized Ameachi as an Igbo son.
Complaining tomorrow that Amaechi is not an Igbo son but an Ikwerre son would further alienate them from the Igbo speaking tribes in the South South region and even the Biafran dream would be further watered down.
We have seen in time past how positions are given to Igbo speaking people from the South South region and not those from the South East region.
The South East can't complain because that would be them saying "we may speak the Igbo language but we are not one" to those who they claim are their Igbo brethren across the South South region.

There is that possibility that the North would want to retain power for another 8 years and this can be possible through Atiku.
After Atiku's 8 years, there is the possibility that Amaechi from the South (South) region would become President and Zulum from Borno in the North (East) would become his VP.
There would be massive support for them across the country especially when you consider that we the South South region still have one more term to complete which we couldn't with Jonathan since he (Jonathan) only completed one term and Nigeria is divided between North and South.

To compensate the South West if Atiku becomes President, Osibanjo may become either the CJN or AGF (anything is possible in Nigeria and nothing might happen. What has happened with all the nepotism since Buhari came into power?)

Finally, while the entire Southern Regions will be divided between APC and PDP come February next year, the Northern Regions will be united along regional interests.
The earlier we the Southern people and our leaders understand that behind the political scenes, the North has no political party but only regional interests, the wiser we and our leaders would become.

Looking at how things are going now, we may either have an Osibanjo / Zulum ticket or Ameachi / Zulum ticket.

Funny enough, the APC still has the best candidates for the 2023 presidential elections.
Whichever of the above president and VP tickets the APC decides to go with, they would still find favour in the eyes of the Nigerian people.

Even though I admit to be sympathetic to the PDP maybe because the SS has been PDP dominated for long and I grew up to know it, I have to admit that the PDP has failed to structure itself in a way they could have produced good candidates.

If the APC goes with either of the above, they will have my votes. I will volunteer to campaign for free. Those people have the capacity to lead Nigeria forward.

Meanwhile, Buhari has been the one paying visits or inviting people when it comes to those that matter. But it is the SE politicians that have been going on uninvited visits to Buhari.

There is a difference between when you invite someone into your house and when someone just shows up at your doorstep. One is more welcomed and appreciated while the other constitutes a nuisance.

Maybe on Saturday, I will create a thread about what a SE Naval officer told me about Biafra in 2016 when I was carrying it on my head. He said it was never going to happen and I looked at him like a traitor. Today, when I consider his reasons, I realize that he was being truthful and realistic.

If you are obese, no matter how many times you proclaim that you're fit or believe you are, it still doesn't change the fact that you are obese.

Personally, I wish the SE can produce the next president. But the presidency is not just something others can just hand over to you and say "take".
I would love the SE to produce the next president but then, are they ready?
They are divided amongst themselves. Some want Biafra, others want the presidency and still others are indifferent. You might be surprised to find out that many of them don't even have the PVC. Look at the menace of ESN and IPOB.
I wish the SE can play their game right and get their acts together. As it stands now, the next president may be from the SS or SW. It doesn't matter, what matters is that we have a Southern president.
They have to engage in consultations, strategize and bridle their tongues. I just hope they can.
If I say now that I have Igbo relations, some of these people would give me the "Igbokwe treatment".

Meanwhile, the SE should consider these past years as lessons learnt and then think of better ways post 2023 to make themselves more lovable and endeared to other regions.

If SE play well they are very likely to clinch the Presidency 2023.

Except there is an Atiku judgment this year.

Like seriously.
It is just quite unfortunate that the SE people chose to play the ostrich. What is ideal may not be what is obtainable. In the Nigeria of today, the regions with the highest chances of occupying the top five political positions in this country are the Northern, SS and SW regions.

One would expect that the SE people would sit down and be strategic and realistic. Elections are not won by mocking and insulting other regions. We are not stupid.

I just raised my observations and possibilities I think. A wise Igbo man would look at this critically, and if he is sincere, he would realise that there is some truth in them.

Come 2023, you would discover that some Igbos would not vote because they didn't bother to get their PVC. Why? They are either too busy with their businesses or promoting Biafra. With the security challenges now in the SE, many will be afraid to step out.

At the end of the day, their votes would count little or nothing.
An Igbo man can become the president of Nigeria, but that would be someone from the SS. Someone like Amaechi. Except they now want to claim that Amaechi is no longer an Igbo man.

The post of the President or the VP from the Southern Region would come from either the SW or the SS.
The SE are not yet ready for the Presidency.

The possibilities I have outlined here may not come to pass. I'm not omniscient. However, one thing is sure, there will be no president from the SE come 2023.
Even the blind can see it.
