I graduated from University in 2020, and during my last days in school I had accommodation problem so I had to put up with a friend of mine (female) throughout the last days and she was very helpful to me i think and know that I owe her alot for the help... I relocated to Lagos after graduation and I stay with my sister and her family, am just hustling to start up so it has not been easy for me and I planned on going for NYSC this year. Now the problem is that the girl who helped me then in school sent me some cash to help her acquire an item which I did and waybilled to her last month. She then sent another 55k for me to help her purchase a laptop which she would use for her project because she's in her final year but when I went to withdraw the money from the Pos, I couldn't find any cash there even the change i had in there was all gone, like I couldn't believe it , I went to the bank to lay a complain but they said they will get back to me which up till now am yet to get a feedback and I've been there countless times but same silly response of we're looking into it. Now the girl has a compulsory seminar they will attend in school and she needs to pay but her parents have refused giving her the money because the money for the laptop and the laptop it's self there yet to see. Now she's on my neck and I've been avoiding her calls and chats cos I don't know how to tell her what happened to the money .... Please am really confused on how to relay the information to her cos her career is at stake.... Someone should please help me on how to tell her so she can understand because am dieing by the day cos her career is at stake .... Am ready for the bash and If possible any sort of assistance cos here and now am helpless ...

Not picking her calls is making things worst... You should have explained to her right from the first day it happened.
Well, you just have to open up to her except you have other means of raising the money.

You should have picked her call and explain what went wrong...
Go to that your bank and use parah mode make una see their manager...
But how come your money and the money she sent just wipe off in your account without you getting alert?

How do you expect to regain this lady's trust or prove your innocence?

Some situations gets just so weird that you even begin to doubt and question your sanity.

The girl will be so hurt, disappointed, unbelieving, and her innocence and trust killed with this singular act.

I feel sorry for you too.

Please, go to the bank, if possible, lodge an email or written complaint to the effect of what happened and ensure you share this correspondence with her and let her know you were so ashamed of yourself hence, the avoidance of her calls because you were looking to we've the issue without her knowing about it.

I wish you well and pray your friendship doesn't get ruined by this.

Don't ignore her calls.. call her to explain the situation to her. Since she doesn't know u for such. Just call her and explain so that she can prepare for alternative quickly prior to her exam.

I'll do just that

You don use a trusted friend money to play virtual soccer you come dey avoid her call.No honest person can avoid a call on a deal that he/she didn't receive payment.
The fraud might even be from the pos vendor.Maybe the transaction was cancelled and she was told a lie that the money has been sent.Or you have withdrew it for your personal use.

They've turned roguish like them all.

They won't reverse a transaction that wasn't honoured even when merchant has confirmed that no value was given with all evidence.

The funds are in their custody and they have refused to reverse same back into my account for like forever.

Tag the bank on ALL their social media (Facebook, Twitter, IG, their website)

Given them mutiple calls a day and threaten to sue them.

They will surely respond. If they don't they is still one CBN or EFCC number you can call.

When she sent u the money, did u receive alert? How much was in ur a/c then? How did the money disappear all of the sudden?
