1.
Oyo state police command (Testing Ground) is like 500meter from where the sad incident happened. The Oyo state government house and secretariat is less than 1.5km & 2.5km away from the scene.

2.
That the Nigerian Army Officers Mess is just behind Mary Hill Convent school speaks alot about how prepared and daring they are. That's a slap on the security architecture of Ibadan. If an area within that coordinate can be attacked, what happens to hinterlands?

3.
Testing ground Police Station quickly locked up their gate entrance. After the robbers had gone, they came out with their protruding bellies and medieval guns taking the walk of shame towards the crime scene.

4.
This isn't the first time a robbery would be conducted in that same area. There was a much more brutal one that happened about a decade ago where they raided a series of banks at Idi Ape, you would think the security architect would be better now.

5.
Testing Ground is not up to 500m to that venue. Also, the traffic around that side shouldn’t have made it easy for those miscreants to getaway. It’s really sad and pathetic.

I hope Ibadan doesn't go back to the era of daily bank and bullion van robberies, this was just as pathetic as it gets.

You are very correct with ur analysis. Same thing that came to my mind when I saw the video and the location where the robbery took place. Idi àpẹ /bus stop/ gate is a busy area with slow traffic which can hinder the free passage of the robbers through that route. You also forgot NCS (Nigeria custom) office is less than 10min drive to the scene and another police station at bus stop junction including Nigeria immigration all within the vicinity of the scene.

The incident is soo pathetic, may God grant the departed soul peace.

A wise man once said and I quote :

A society gets the leadership it deserves.

The robberies, kidnappings, bombings and of recent... Ritual be headings are all products of a failed system. While lamenting on these unbecoming societal ills, the same masses are clamouring for the same old hags that have brought a once great country to this abysmal level.

For people to be talking about Atiku,Tinubu,Amaechi,Orji Kalu and a host of other colossal failures, then what else is there to say? Nigeria can NEVER EVER get better when the electorate is biased along tribal and religious lines.

The crime is gonna get worse. Mark my words and there is nothing our ever incompetent govt can do about it except set up a panel to investigate and later we will hear N200 billion was spent on investigation with no result.

Even God don tire for Naija matter.
