Please am appealing to the management of IBEDC as all efforts to reach the management through formal ways didn’t yield.
I reside in Obada, Abeokuta, Ogun State and power supply to the area have been wonderful because we were on the 33kv Power supply line. However, we begin to notice poor power supply to this area since November 2021 which were attributed to upgrading carried out. By December, power supply had decline to less than 8hours per day for an Area on a Band B charging Plan that should not have less than an average of 16hours power supply.
Painfully, despite the drop in January to about an Average power supply of 4Hrs per day we were still charge based on the normal 16hrs Band billing system.
To crown it all, we received February bill and we saw that we have been move to band A (20hrs power supply and more) when we don’t even enjoy power for 3 hours on an average. For the past 45 days of this year we have not enjoy 250hrs power in a place that was billed to have used 900hrs supply or more, yet our bills move from N13,000 to N36,000 for those who do not have prepaid. This is the greatest yahoo yahoo of the season.
We appeal to the management of IBEDC to investigate our plea and do the needful as every other area on the 33kv Line in Abeokuta still enjoy Good power supply. We are been defrauded as we don’t get value for our money.
