Pls explain more, you mean those that went through life in suffering and hardship (e.g during slave trades) were here mainly for the experience, what purpose does this serve.

God created us that we might serve him.

You are created for divine purpose, as Gold is created raw and reshape and beautify by human, The same we are created to discover our self so that we can be recover.
You are created with powerful raw talent that you need to work on. Just try to discover the talent and develop it.
People like: Bill gate, Obama, Adenuga, Pastor Adeboye etc. are people like you, But hope and Continue searching to discover whom they are made them what they are today.

This world is like a chess board game, we pray to gods so they can play us well.

Seriously, I think God's ways are higher than our ways, this planet earth may be but a platform for gods to demonstrate their skills with humans, the way we use computer for programming/games

, from Gods' conversation with satan in the book of job 1:1-12 it seems some happenings here on earth are caused from the spirit realm by the gods, our responsibility is to be conscious of these things and be re-united back with our maker (God) though self discovery, for there will be joy in heaven over a soul that finds his way back his source

God primarily created us to bring Him pleasure and to have dominion over his other creations as is seen in Genesis 1:26:

and Revelation 4:11,
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

However, the devil caused us to fall from this position God created us in and hence the coming of Jesus Christ was to reconcile man back to God as God desires our relationship with him.
This was the reason for His death on the cross.

After you receive Jesus into your life, we start to grow now as Sons of God to be one with him and show forth His praises.
1 Pet 2:9:
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Therefore, to now understand your purpose and calling, the word of God is the best guide to achieve this and having a time out/retreat will sure show you the way to fulfil that purpose. No one can tell you what your purpose is as you have to discover it yourself. You might already have an idea now but the confirmation can only be gotten from the Word.
When you know your purpose, then will you discover the essence for your living.

Try to leave to the best of your ability,and if you believe in intelligent design good for you... live as if you own the world and try to work in the light of your creator...
