Hello, good day nairalanders, from the beginning of his new job, he told me he saw many red flags,which of course he ignored, being a new environment. He narrated how the boss basically behaves as if he is a god, he humiliates, belittles and constantly bullies al him.

He told me he has seen a few people resign within his just under a month of being there. Anyways, according to him, the toxic work environment has led to worsening of his health conditions including his serious mental health conditions which he confided in me,and he has been managing it for almost 2 years now (Covid made it worse too).

These challenges have made him to be absent from work for almost 2 weeks now. The boss hasn't reached out to him directly but through representatives In his usual manner of issuing of threats and ultimatums.

Last time i checked slavery ended a long time ago, and apparently the boss is one of those rich people who believe they can do as they please in Nigeria.

Also from the little research i have done, the only legal option the boss has is to fire the guy, not to be threatening him with arrest. What does he do now?

He should resigned and look for another job...na person may de alive breakfast de rich!

Let him resign .drop any of the company's property with him

He should start writing his resignation letter
