A Student of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi has been expelled after his course mate reported him to the course Lecturer for cheating in exams.

In a post shared on Facebook, it reads;

Recently a boy was expelled from the University of Agriculture Makurdi after his coursemate went to report him to the course lecturer taking the course after she found him cheating.

Was she an invigilator? No!

What happened surprised people on campus, as the news went like wildfire-Many were looking for the girl to teach her some lesson, not to talk about the guy they expelled. It was said that security was moving with her ever since the incident till she went home.

They were sitting in the class writing exams in the morning thereabout. While she was writing she sighted a boy using his exhibit and she was pained because she hate sin. She did not report to the invigilator in the hall, she had to submit her paper and look for the course lecturer and escorted him to show him the boy.

Right there he filled malpractice form and faced the senate a day or so, and from there he was expelled. They are all in 100Level, but they don’t use CBT because #managementscience doesn’t use CBT. They write on paper and pen.

I don’t have specific issues with people cheating in the exam hall, because we all can’t be good even if we choose to do. One bad egg must just be in our midst.

What is your take on this issue?
Do we need more of her in our institution? or Should She be condemned for her act?

Leave me and my take.....e go worst pass takehome.

The person should be writing her exam and not monitoring his/her coursemate.

The girl lacks wisdom. Might be due to her age tho and over zealousness.

*There are better ways to have handled the situation to suit her spiritual conscience'

Now she's made for herself many faceless enemies.

As for the guy that cheated, I hope he bounces back on track, better refined.

The lecturer should have used discretion


Why bring her back to the hall

I had girls like that during our 100lv but they cooled down and even joined the gang as we progressed when they found out that the lecturers are all out to get you.

I hope this girl's over zealousness doesn't take her to her early grave.

The lecturer is a big fool. Someone reported something as sensitive as that, you just go open her nyash.

Her life will be miserable at the university, na everybody go hate her. Wetin concern her, she for just look throway face. Everybody dey cheat for school, even lecturers cheats while in school.

The girl should have been more concerned about her own identity being revealed as the snitch. She took a big risk in a tertiary institution where you have all manners of cults, not kindergarten, primary or secondary school (where some students do not even fear their teachers).

The girl needs to be very careful as her life may be in danger.

The boy wasn't caught red handed, it was through third party, making it not substantial and evidential. So The school on it part did not serve Justice but rather act on hear-say which is totally unfair.

As for the girl, na small pikin with secondary school mentality The worry am. I hope as she satisfied her "spiritual conscience" she will also live with the fact that she caused somebody else pains and heartbreak. Spirituality without wisdom is stupidity and foolishness....

Chronic exam cheat spotted!

All this small small busy body girls, Na so them go dey put themselves for problem.

She just made her self enemies.

Wrong is wrong but we must apply wisdom in doing stuffs.

It isn't the girl's responsibility to report cheating students. If the invigilators were doing their job, they should have caught the student.

The lecturer wasn't wise too. He exposed this lady to undue danger. He should have handled this case differently.

BUT:

I don't know the nature of the exams. In medschool, moving from one level to another isn't only about passing your exams. Most times, they select only the top students.

For example, if the quota of the school is 50, even though more than fifty students pass the exam, most times, they'd promote only the best fifty and the others may be asked to repeat. This is especially true in preclinical classes.

In this case, if someone cheats, he/she just may be illegally pushing the next candidate off the list. If this were the scenario, she would only be protecting herself (and other honest students) from being illegally kicked out of the program.

In all, I just don't get why people cheat, whether in exams or in other areas of life. I would never understand this. There is NO acceptable reason to cheat. Going to school is not for everyone as there are various paths to living a successful life.

Please, let's all choose to pursue a honest lifestyle as this is rewarding.
